Brooklyn's POV
Next Morning.
I wake up and turn, grabbing my phone.
I see a sticky note on it.
'Follow the petals beautiful'
I sit up and look around and see rose petals on my bed, and then on the floor.
I sigh and start picking them up, following them.
The go out of my room.
I go downstairs, still picking them up.
I end up in the kitchen and I hear a laugh.
I look up and see Grayson.
He walks forwards and puts a sticky note on my forehead and then walks out of my house.
What the hell?
I put the petals on the counter and pull the sticky note off.
'Mom's Spot?'
I sigh and slide on some slides by the door and cross my arms over my chest, walking out of the house.
I go to my spot, back with the tree stumps, and I see Ethan sitting there with a picnic basket, a book, and a big smile on his face.
I furrow my eyebrows and sit down.
He opens the basket without saying anything and hands me a banana..
I grab the basket and look inside and saw another banana and then two waters was all was in there and giggled a little.
I look up at him, still confused.
"Eat your banana" He said opening the book.
He starts reading the book, it being small poems with a familiar type of tone to the poems.
I listened to Ethan read as I ate the banana, eating all of it this time.
I finished and then he looks up at me.
"What are you doing?" I asked him still a little confused.
"I'm sorry.." He said looking down a little.
"I really liked how we were.. I didn't realize you wanted more.. I know I do.. But I thought that you really didn't, and so I tried to hold your hand more and kiss you more. And stuff like that.. because I liked being with you. I like you a lot a lot. And I really want to be your boyfriend. If your up for that.. I seem to be pretty stupid and clueless a lot of times.." He said and I smiled a little and nodded.
"I do want to be your girlfriend" I said and his smile grew.
"By the way.. I just got you another poemy book from that Shel guy. Well not directly from him.. Hes dead.. But they had these things at a bookstore and I found one that I hadn't seen on your bookshelf.. So you have something new to read" He said handing me the book making me giggle
"You know. These books are supposed to be for kids. Like what kid wants to read like 200 pages?" He asked me.
"I never minded when my mom read them.. I never wanted the pages to stop" I said smiling.
"Yeah but you're my cute little bookworm" He said making me blush...
"Is that a good thing or?" I asked and he smiles.
"Its an adorable thing." He said and I smiled.
He looked out to the river.
"Hey,. Where does the river end going that way?" He asked me.
"At a waterfall" I tell him.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yeah. You wanna see?" I asked him standing up.
He nods and I hold out my hand.
He stands up and grabs my hand.
We walk around the trees, to the fishing spot, And then I lead him down a trail in the trees.
After walking for about, five or ten minutes I stop and sit down on the cleared space.
I have come back here quite a bit..
Ethan sits down next to me, watching the water spill into the area beneath.
Its about a 10 to 15 foot drop.. Nothing too dramatic. But still very pretty.
I feel his eyes on me now.
"I'm really sorry for yesterday" He tells me, putting his hand on top of mine.
I nod.
"Its okay" I said and leaned in, pecking his cheek.
A smile growing on his face.
