Brooklyn's POV

Monday.

I had gotten ready for school, really just throwing a hoodie and some leggings on and then some vans.

I put some mascara on and then brush out my hair.

Thats all.

I go and brush my teeth and then spray some perfume, not wanting to smell bad.

I grab my phone and my things.

"Bye Brooklyn, Have a good day" James said when he saw me just walking out.

"Bye you too" I replied even though I knew I wouldn't have a good day.

No day is a good day.

I walk down the road, having to walk to where the river ended to the bus stop.

I see two guys there.. Normally its just me.

When they see me they give me a small smile.

They are twins.

I can tell now.

"Hi" The one with shorter hair said

I send him a small, fake smile, not being able to put together my real one, but not wanting to be rude.

"I'm Grayson and this is Ethan." He said and I make eye contact with who Grayson had claimed to be Ethan.

my heart beats a little faster and I look away.

"Brooklyn" I replied.

"We are new here. Do you think you could show us around?" Grayson asked.

"Uh.. Um I um.." I stumbled over my words and then made eye contact with Ethan again and he smiles at me a little.

"Sure" I give in, not actually wanting to.

The bus pulls up and I climb in first.

I go to the second to last seat on the bus, sitting by myself and then getting out a book from my backpack and then someone sits next to me, making me stiffen up.

I look up and see Ethan, Grayson in the seat next to us.

"I hope you don't mind me sitting here.. My brother is just annoying when I am that close to him" Ethan tells me and I nodded a little, scooting closer to the wall.

I start to read the book.

"Whatcha reading?" Ethan asked me and I looked up at him and showed him the front of the book.

"Whats it about?" He asked me.

"Uhm. Its uh. about a girl who um, " I stop myself and take a deep breath.

"Are you okay?" He asked me.

"Uh, Yeah. Yeah... Why are y'all talking to me?? Like. Not to be rude. I am not a um. I'm not very social.. and its a little weird." I said trying not to be rude to them still since they are new.
