The Motel

You were starting to get tired. You hadn't had any real sleep in 48 hours. You tried not to fall asleep, seeing as you were only a half hour from the motel, but after 20 minutes, you ended up passing out anyway. Cas looked over at you in your sleeping form just as you slumped to the side, and your head fell against his shoulder, then in his lap as the car hit a speedbump. His arms were raised, unsure of what to do at first. He slowly lowered them over your body, one around your torso and the other by your head, ruffling your hair with his hand. You were half-awake at this point, not quite aware of what was going on. You felt someone run their hand through your hair but you were barely conscious enough to even care. Besides, it felt nice.

Pretty soon you were woken up when the lulling purr of the car engine came to a stop and you were gently shaken awake.

"Were here, (y/n), Cas said, speaking in his low, gravelly voice. You reached up and rubbed the drowsiness from your eyes, and when you finally fully awoke you realised your head was in his lap and his arm was around you. You jumped out of your laying position, screaming internally.

What...

"When did I fall asleep?" you demanded.

"Ten minutes ago. How long has it been since you last slept before today?"

"A while..." Really, (Y/N)? You thought to yourself. You fell asleep on a fucking angel for ten minutes and didn't notice? You cleared your throat.

"Thanks for waking me."

"Of course." You were thankful the darkness hid your deep blush, as you realised you had been half a wake through part of your nap, and still hadn't noticed how close you were to him in the Impala. You both got out of the car. You made your way awkwardly to the motel lobby with your things, noticing that Cas had disappeared somewhere. That just left you and the two Winchesters. The three of you picked out a room with a couple of beds and a couch. You threw your bag next to the couch deciding you would sleep there. You honestly didn't care where you slept, you were so tired you wanted to pass out again. You threw yourself on the sofa and fell asleep again. Dean laid a blanket over you and Sam and him reluctantly took the beds since you were already unconscious again, and that meant they couldn't argue with you about how you should take one of the beds and how one of them would sleep on the couch. You woke up exactly seven hours later to the smell of fast food.
