You trudged on and on toward the truck stop. It would be any minute now and you would be safe inside the impala. Your feet however, felt heavier and heavier with each step, and not necessarily because you were tired.

What would Cas think? You couldn't just keep this from him. He'd find out someway, somehow. He'd read your mind at the wrong moment, or-

Gabriel chuckled then. "Regretting our actions are we?" You glowered but stared straight forward.

"I did what I had to do. And stay out of my head." He held his hands up in defense and said nothing.

You arrived at the truck stop two hours later and you sat up against the wall to the buffet house-convenience store hybrid, staring into space and wishing none of this had ever happened. Gabriel imitated you and sat criss cross some 4 feet away, hiding his handcuffed wrists in his lap to avoid suspicion from strangers. And you two sat like that, in silence for almost the full 4 hours you had left until the Wincesters would arrive.

You were pretty zoned out at that point so you didn't notice Gabriel inching closer until he leaned his head on your shoulder smiling, placing his cuffed hands on your denim-covered knee. Just as you were about to shove him away he kissed your cheek. As if on cue you heard the familiar hum of the impala's engine pulling up and screeching to a stop right in front of you. You scrambled away from Gabriel and glared. He only smirked in reply. He must have seen them coming up the road when you were zoning out.

You stood up then and looked straight on at the impala. Dean was driving as usual with Cas in the front seat looking beyond pissed off. You shuttered at this and walked stiffly to the passenger's side.

"Hey! Forgetting something?" You heard Gabriel call. You opened the door then, refusing to look at him.

"No, don't think so." You climbed in then and Gabriel's voice echoed in your head.

I'll tell him. I'm sure you would like him to hear it from you though. So I think you're capable of doing the right thing here.

Before you could even process what he just said, Dean was piping up.

"You know what (y/n)? Let the bastard tag along. We'll release him once we know for sure he wont pull this crap again," he said with a pointed stare in the rearview mirror, but hidden well enough to not alert enough suspicion for Gabriel to read his mind. Dean was planning something of course. You sighed then.

"Okay." You stuck your head back out. "Get in asshat. We'll unlock you later."

"Ahh, I knew Dean-o would talk some sense into you!" He climbed in through the other side and leaned back with his hands behind his head. Dean pealed out of the lot then and set off down the road.

Castiel was glaring in the rearview mirror at Gabriel the entire time. He hadn't read your mind- he was trying to respect your privacy. But hoo boy did he see how Gabriel cozied up to you. How you tensed at his touch. How his neck was the perfect fit to wrap his hands around and squeeze. The silence was almost unbearable. Gabriel spoke up finally.

"Oh, did I tell you all what (y/n) and I did?" Your eyes widened but you hid it almost immediately before Cas fixated on you.

"What did he do to you?" He said, with an unidentifiable tone. You stayed quiet.

"Well first we took a little joyride in the LA river. No big deal. Then, we had some delicious kielbasa after. But boy howdy- let me tell you about dessert!" You were panicking now. Suddenly, a man appeared in between you and Gabriel.

"Hello boys." He took your hand then before you could even register his face and the next thing you knew, you were back in the bunker, standing right in front of Sam, separated by a long table.
