Kitty Noir (Marichat)

Chapter 4

"Hmm..he seems to have a rare case. When a chat noir over uses his Miraculous, it can transform your body into an actual cat! The same thing can happen with ladybugs." Master Fu explained.

Chat cursed to himself. He always used Chat Noir as an escape from reality. He used Chat Noir almost every day.

"Can he go back to his normal state?" Lady Bug asked.

She caught Master Fu smirking for a brief moment before returning to his serious expression.

"Yes." He said very seriously.

Chat gulped. He hoped Master Fu won't say what Plagg had said.

"Yeah? Can you tell us please sir?" Ladybug asked.

"A true loves kiss of course."

LadyBug went pale.

Chat wiggled his eyebrows at her.

"Oh nah uh, I ain't kissing a cat. No way, nope, nope. nah uh. I kissed you once and that was enough." Ladybug said quickly.

Chat Noir looked at her confused.

"When did you kiss me? What? We kissed?"

She must be kidding. If he had kissed her, he would definitely know about it.

But Ladybugs face turned paler.

"Kiss? Oh uh I mean kiiiick! Kick! Yeah I kicked you once and I'll do it again!" She stuttered.

"But you said-"

"Kick! I said kick!"

Master Fu laughed at the two. After he managed to get them to leave he talked to his Kawmi.

"Ah they really are perfect for each other, Wayzz." Master Fu scratched his chin.

"Yeah, but was the whole true love kiss thing really necessary? Do you think they'll realise it'll go away by itself?" Wayzz squeaked.

"Eventually, but hey, Plagg and I saw an opportunity and took it! This will be the best LadyNoir love story yet!"

"Just wait here Chat, Marinette said she'll be back in a minute, she just went to visit Alya." Ladybug smiled, placing Chat gently on her bed.

Chat was breathing very heavily. He just wanted to be his normal size again where Paris was his playground.

"How do you know Alya?" Chat asked suspiciously.

Ladybugs eyes widened and she realised what she had said.

"Uhh who doesn't? She runs the ladyblog! And Marinette talks about her all the time! Bye!" Ladybug was about to leave when Chats voice stopped her yet again.

"Wait Ladybug." He said quietly.

She turned and stared at the little small cat on her bed.

"Yes?"

"For the..true loves kiss, well I.." Chat trailed off. He couldn't say it.

"Speak up kitty?"

"I-I well, your the only one..."

"Hmm?"

Ladybug stood at her window, ready to leave. Chat sat shyly on the bed, hiding his face in his furry chest.

"I want you to be the kiss."

Ladybug knew this earlier. But this time he was actually straight up asking her. But she knew it wouldn't work. She doesn't love cat. She loves Adrien..where ever he is.. but she couldn't say no...

"I understand you wouldn't want to kiss me, since I'm a, you know a cat, and it'll be really gross, but please Ladybug. I..."

Ladybug gulped. Please don't say it..please don't say it.

"I love you." Chat looked up at her. His green eyes staring into hers.

"M-my lady? You're crying." Chat asked. Did he say something wrong? He hoped she doesn't hate him now..

Ladybug quickly wiped her eyes.

"I'm sorry Chat, it's just, I can't return the feelings. And you deserve to be with someone who can. I'll do the kiss though."

Chats heart broke. He thought, she could return some of the feelings. She flirted and teased and yet, after all their moments together....not even a spark? A flutter of a butterfly?

"O-oh okay." His voice cracked. How could he ever look at her again? He loved her with all his heart, and now he knew she didn't feel the same way.

What was wrong with him? Was he annoying? Ugly? Worthless?

Nobody loved him. His mother..gone, his father never even gave him a second glance..He thought maybe Ladybug could learn to love him..

He tried to stop himself from crying. He couldn't cry in front of her.

"I'll give you some space..sorry kitty.."

He didn't lift his head but he knew she had left.

He wondered where Marinette was.

He laid on her bed, burying himself in her sheets. He guessed as a cat, he still had some human features.

Tears soaked his fur, he cried so hard he couldn't breathe.

He was too busy struggling to gasp for air, he didn't hear Marinette walk in the room.

He felt himself being lifted in the air, then rested on Marinette's lap.

She cuddled him and comforted him, neither of them sharing any words.

He knew Marinette was crying, but he was too busy drowning in his own misery to ask why.

The two were heart broken, comforting each other. Little did they know, that they each were the reason of each other's suffering..

"Aw look at the two. She bonded with the cat so well! And look she's actually smiling!" Tom whispered happily to his wife, as they poked their heads in Marinette's room.

They were briefly watching Marinette and Kitty Noir sleep, all cuddled up, with small smiles on their faces.

Tom and Sabine happily left the two with a note being the only trace they were ever there..
