Kitty Noir (Marichat)

Chapter 5

Marinette shot up from where she lay. She squinted her eyes and furrowed her eyesbrows, trying to figure out what had caused the loud crash that woke her. A loud crash followed by screams.
An akuma?

In this quick, unexpected movement, Marinette had completely forgot about the sleeping cat that was laying peacefully on her lap.

"Hey!" Chat yelled from the floor pouting up at her.

"What time is it?" She wondered. She also wondered where her kawami was.

More wails echoed in the air. Was it Adrien? Had he been akumatised? Had he finally came out of his hiding spot? Or was his kidnapper hurting others? Threatening and bargaining with Adrien's life?

Whatever the case, Marinette had to terminate it. Terminate Adrien's torturer.

Without a sound escaping her lips, she threw her bed sheets on top of the whining kitty on the cold floor.

When Chat Noir had finally escaped the sheets, Marinette was long gone.

Ladybug thanked whatever god there was for allowing her Kawami to be in her purse. She had grabbed her bag before quickly dashing to her balcony, transforming and then off on search of an akuma.

Ladybug swung through the streets of Paris. She wondered if she could defeat an akuma on her own. She contemplated if she would have to fight or save Adrien. She thought about whether she could bring herself to attack Adrien even if he was akumatised or just hesitate.
She wondered why Adrien would of got akumatised in the first place.

Ladybug gasped as she approached the scene of disaster. A building had caught a blaze, people running around, screaming, like wild ants.

Who had done this?

Ladybug quickly called on lucky charm, which granted her a hose. She dashed down to ground level carrying it.

"Help us Ladybug!"

"Its Ladybug!"

"Go Ladybug!"

Ladybug waved to the citizens, then her earrings beeped. Damn she doesn't have long before she transforms back.

She began shouting orders.

"Where's the nearest tap? Someone call the fire brigade and an ambulance. Gather hoses and any other things than can reduce the fire!"

Everyone began to work. Ladybug connected her hose to a nearby tap and began putting out the fire. Many citizens imitated her.

Ladybug's earrings beeped for the second time. She had to bug out quick.

She turned to sneak from the scene and into another alley.

"Tikki, spots off." She muttered, her Kawami flying out and landing into her hands. She groaned in exhaustion.

"Let's go get your energy back up quick, then we can figure out the akuma."

Marinette placed her Kawami in her purse, and turned to leave when a large figure obstructed her from leaving.

He wore a bright orange and red suit, with red gloves and protective eye wear. His eyes were emerald green and he had messy blonde hair.

Ladybugs heart skipped a beat. Like Adrien's.

"A-Adrien?" She whispered in disbelief. She expected she would probably have to face him, but being here in the moment, with her beloved Adrien standing before her, akumatised, she stood paralysed. Her poor, helpless Adrien.

"No my dear, Inferno." The blonde smirked, lighting a mini fire ball in his palm and twirling his hand so the ball danced across his fingers.

Ladybug whimpered. Had he saw her transform? Was he going to attack her? Oh her poor sweet Adrien.

"Are you here to hurt me?" She asked dumbly.

"Perhaps. Though for the time being, I am in dire need of a hostage." He grinned. Though before he could move a muscle, a squeaky voice, unmistakably as Chat Noir's echoed in the air.

"Lay a hand on my princess, and you'll never live to see tomorrow." He growled.

Inferno tensed up. He lit a larger fire ball in his hand and his eyes searched the narrow alleyway.

Marinette was smiling like an idiot. Her kitty had came to save her. How? She had no clue. But he had called her princess. And she liked it.

"Where are you? Come into the light and face me, you coward!" Inferno taunted.

A baton flew from the air and hit Inferno's head. He fell to the ground from impact, and began nursing his head. Marinette didn't even get time to process how Chat had gotten his baton, before realising Adrien was in pain.

"No!!" Marinette screamed. He had just injured Adrien!!

She ran to Inferno's side, tears streaming down her pale cheeks.

"Marinette, get back!!" Chat Noir growled.

"N-no you can't hurt him! Thats Adrien! H-he's one of my classmates that went missing! P-please you can't.." Marinette's voice cracked. She went to touch Inferno who recoiled and slammed her into the wall with the back of his fist.

"MARINETTE!" Chat screamed, though still nowhere to be seen.

"I told you, it's Inferno! Not Adrien! Ugh I don't need your sympathy!" Inferno yelled angrily. He began walking over to where Marinette withered on the ground, wounded with cuts and bruises.

"Don't touch her! You filthy ball of gas!" Chat insulted pathetically as he came out of who knows where and landed on Inferno's shoulders.

Chat was still a cat yes, but now he had leather clothing, a golden bell like a collar, and an adorable mask.

Chat tried to do as much damage as possible, scratching and tugging of his hair, but it did nothing.

Inferno began burning up, literally, and Chat had to jump off when his fur began smoking.

Inferno grinned triumphantly, lifted Marinette and threw her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

Marinette just flopped around, looking as alive as a rock.

This story's still got a bit to go, maybe 10 or so chapters, not entirely sure, but knowing me probably like 20 xd
