As soon as class was let out, Tiaga ran for the play set. Climbing to the top and hiding. Curling into a little ball and started to silently cry. Tiaga was used to this, but not the people. The kids talked all class about how she should talk and she is just being a snob. She knew no one liked her, no one would ever like her. No one cared.
She was used to this.
However, Tiaga was wrong. There was someone out there who really felt bad for Tiaga. That was Athena, as soon as she was in the play yard she raced to find the girl. No one was on the play set in the back of the yard, so she raced to the play ground, hoping to find her soon to be friend. When she arrived she heard soft sobs, she started to climb up. Finding Tiaga on the ground in a ball crying. She went over to Tiaga and sat right down next to her, smiling
"Hey, It's me, Athena. I'm sorry I didn't understand this morning, I hope you can forgive me." Tiaga looked to Athena with red, puffy eyes and nodded. "Great! Then can we... be friends?" She asked hesitantly. Tiaga nodded her head furiously.
Athena's beamed like the sun. "Thank you so much! I never had a friend! I only had my mom, but i was never aloud to see other children" Athena sighed "That's why I was so excited to started school!"
Tiaga smiled and started to give speech by sign language, Athena stared at her "What a cool dance!!!!" She cried.
Tiaga silently laughed and pointed to the slide and then signed Want to go play we can pretend we are going down a waterfall!

Athena yawned as her mother pulled the blanket up to her chest. "Mama" the young child said quietly "What do you think its like not to be able to talk?"
"My dear child, why would you ask me such unimaginable questions?" Her mother looked at strangely.
"Well, the girl daddy told me to find, she cant talk. I wonder why she cant talk and what its like. Me and her are best friends!" Athena smiled at the memory of playing with Tiaga on the slide and swings. "I'm even gonna learn sign language to talk to her!"
Her mother gave her a sad smile and left. Athena's father walked in to say goodnight to his love.
"How was school, my dear?" He smiled
"Wonderful" Athena laughed.
"Did you meet the red head?" he asked.
"Yes! We are very good friends." Athena pointed out.
"Whats her name?"
"Tiaga" she yawned.
"We are also gonna start some self defence training" Her father got up and walked away.

"Hush little baby..." Tiaga's aunt said while turning out the light and turning on the pink night light.
Tiaga signed "Auntie, I actually quite enjoy school. Thank you for signing me up!"
"You are very welcome, Tiaga. Did you make any new friends?" Her aunt smiled warmly.
"Yes, a girl name Athena. She is 5 just like me and has silvery white hair and-"
"What?!" Her aunt screamed. "You musn't be friends with that girl!" and with that her aunt abruptly left.
Adults were very confusing to both children.
