Athena trudged her way home in the freezing rain. Her car wouldn't start up so she had to walk. It started raining about an hour or so ago. The walk home was dreadful since she decided to take the long way. She lifted her right hand, that was numb and should be blue soon, and wipe a pile of salty tears and black mascara. She walked by a restaurant, it was a bit fancy, but it should provide some warmth. She had 20 dollars, if the food is more then that then they'll have to kick her out.

"Bonjour!" A lady at a podium smiled "Do you have reservations?"

"No, sorry, I'm just here to get out of the rain and get some food, sorry." Athena gave the employee a big, puppy look and a sniffle and the lady softened.

"OK, follow me, we have a table this way!"

As Athena sat in a booth holding a really warm cup of hot chocolate for the first time in about 6 years, she cried. Her father always told her that crying was a sign of weakness, and she was not to do it in public. She let it out though, letting the tears flow down her cheeks on to the oak wood table that was a darker shade then normal because of the lighting. Athena put her head down into her folded arms that lay on the table and sobbed quietly. People who passed her gave her looks of pity, and some of disgust. She was soaked, and dirty and she shouldn't be in this formal of a restaurant. They had no right to look at her in any way, at least that's what she thought.

Tiaga sat in the booth, eyes still wide. She was about to sign something but then she saw a girl with silver hair. Thinking back to the night of the day her parents died, a cold sweat broke out but then she realized it was just Athena and she sensed something was wrong.

Tiaga got up with Chrias calling behind her to come back, but Tiaga had a bad feeling. Chrias grabbed her hand and pulled her back. "Where are you going?" He asked frightened.

"Athena is here! She looks hurt, I'm really sorry but I need to go help her. Here, take this and pay for me, I need to go" Tiaga signed and handed him a 20$ bill and ran after Athena. She couldn't see the girl anymore and she was panicked. Athena was never good at emotions and its because of her no good father. She growled and went looking.

She finally spotted Athena sobbing quietly at a table that was dimly lit. She went and sat in front of her best friend and grabbed her hands. Athena quickly looked up and saw that it was Tiaga and kept sobbing.

"He.. He cheated on me!" She cried out desperately, Tiaga gasped and clenched her fist. She never like Duncan, and he was the biggest player at the school. "I mean, I thought he was the one! I broken up with plenty of guys, why does this one hurt so much?" She sobbed more.

"He doesn't deserve you Athena, you are beautiful and deserve so much better!" She signed, trying to help the situation.

"But why? I was going to give my innocence to him on the night of the dance! I loved him so much, and I thought he loved me! He didn't love me though, he played me like a puppet! I was so excited to go to the dance with him! I hurt him,  Tiaga. I didn't kill him, but my emotions got the best of me and I went to his house and threw a hammer at him!" Tiaga figured as much, Athena was a eye-for-an-eye kind of person.

"He wasn't right for you, come on lets go to your house, we can have chocolate ripple ice cream and watch all the romance movies on Netflix!" Tiaga signed, she grabbed Athena's arm and led her out into the air. They started walking to Athena's home, while silent tears strolled down her cheeks.

---

As Tiaga and Athena enter, Tiaga takes a great look everywhere. She was never inside her friends house, she was always to busy.

"Mother, Father, I am home and I have brought a friend. Don't worry we wont make a mess!" She shouts, still trying to keep her composure after her sobs stopped.

"Okay dear!" She heard the woman's voice. She never met Athena's mother but she was sure that she was amazing.

"Come on, my room is upstairs, I have my laptop up there too." Athena leads her up the stairs and enters the room. Tiaga never seen a room this small. She often forgets that she is really wealthy compared to normal people. She smiled to give Athena reassuring.

"This room is very... lovely" Tiaga signs. Athena nods.

"My father re-did the paint a while ago. It use to be an ugly gray-green color." Athena sits on her bed and loads up the laptop.

"Athena... have you seen..." Her dad opens the door and his eyes grew larger by the second. He stared at Tiaga for a while. "Why, who is this?" Tiaga takes in what her friends dad looks like. He is built, and looks a lot older then he should be. He has big blue eyes, just like Athena.

"Hello sir, my name is Tiaga." She smiles

"Her name is Tiaga." Athena declares "You know the friend I spent forever trying to learn sign language for. Now, I know sign language and if I ever need to use it I can" Athena smiles at her dad.

He nods and exits the room. Rushing to find his wife to tell her the great news.
