Alex x reader (part one)

You'd been sick for the entire week. At first, you and Alex were convinced that you had the stomach virus, but it's gone on way too long for it to be that. Alex had grown concerned, and as much as you didn't want to admit it, so have you.

"Look babe, you have to go to the doctor, what if something is seriously wrong?" She furrows her eyebrows and crosses her arms as she leans in the doorframe of the bathroom.

You had just finished brushing your teeth and you turned around, to meet her eyes. "I'm sure everything's just fine, Alex. This will go away soon." You took her hand into your own and kissed the top of it. She still didn't look happy,

"Can't you at least go get checked out, in case everything isn't 'fine'. You're really making me nervous, Y/N.." She sighs, pressing a kiss to your forehead.

"Ugh," You groan, finally caving. "Fine. I'll go to the doctor just to get you to stop pestering me." You chuckle, letting go of her hand to go and get dressed.

You couldn't believe what you just heard, you couldn't be pregnant. The only person that you've had sex within the past year had been Alex. How was she going to take this? The drive back was silent and you didn't go home right away either. You drove around National City for awhile, just to be alone with your thoughts.

When you opened the door to your apartment, the first thing you saw was Alex all cuddled up on the couch. The moment she met your eyes, your heart skipped, and not in a good way.

"Thank God you're home. I've been texting you all day, baby." She stood up and gave you a hug and a kiss. "Why do you look like you've been crying? Oh god, you don't have a terminal illness do you?" Alex just kept rambling on and on, as she usually does when she's nervous.

You couldn't take it anymore. Your chest felt heavy, you had to say something. "I'm pregnant! That's why I've been crying, that's why I've been gone all day, that's why I haven't texted you back, and that's why I've been throwing up." Without warning, hot tears rolled down your cheek. You immediately regret your admission when you see the look on Alex's face.

"So that means... you... you cheated on me?? I can't believe you... And to think I was so damn worried about you." Alex spits, looking at you in complete disgust.

"No, Alex I swear-" You sobbed, but you were cut off.

"There's no other explanation for this! I can't believe you're trying to lie to me."

"Alex, just listen-"

"No! You listen-" She stopped, paced around the apartment and started to cry. "You know what, I can't be here anymore. I'm going to crash at Kara's."

You felt your heart shatter into a million pieces. "Alex, wait! Please don't go!" You sobbed as she turned the door handle and left, never looking back.
