Chapter 1

"Katie! Get down here!" Mom shouted from down stairs. I sighed, closed my history file and slipped it in my bag. I really dong get the subject. I mean, the English men are contradicting themselves. What happened to the saying "Don't live in the past"? Yet we have it 3 hours a week!

"Hurry up skank, I've got places to go!" My dearest mother shouted, in her sweet, melodious voice.

Just to note all of you now, sarcasm is my specialty and it is inserted in the line above.

"Flip it," I mumbled and dropped what I was doing.

"Comming!" I yelled back while rushing down the stairs, the sooner she goes the better. I reached the bottom and scanned the area to see where the "She Devil" was. I saw a flicker of badly died red hair in the kitchen and walked to it.

" About time Krit," Mom managed out while a cigarette is in her mouth, half lit.

"It's Kat Mother," I reminded her, one agagin. Though i wouldnt mind adding something extra to the sentence...

"Krit, Kat, same difference," She rolled her eyes and took a sip of her seventh beer. I could tell from the six empty bottles behind her.

"No, but anyway, why did you want me down?" I asked her, straight to the point. I did not want to stay there any longer than i had to.

"Stubborn, what did i say about that?" She threatened while holding my cheeks together with one hand. Her nails were digging in my skin. She finnally lets go and leans against the kitchen counter, watching me massage my cheeks.

"Thankfully though, that won't be a problem anylonger, well for me anyways," Mom smirked and took another sip of beer.

I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. What was she talking about?

"Sorry, what?"

" Pack your bags, you're going to live with your brother."

"WHAT! WHY?" I asked frantically in a raised voice.

"Zack proposed to me and we don't need you in our new family," mom said while studding her nails.

"He proposed?" i whispered to my self. I never knew he would actually make that type of committment. i thought he didnt care about my mother, not after what happened...

" Please mom! I promise not to interfear in your and Z-Za-His life. Please, i just dont want to stay with Liam!" I begged her.

"There is no choice, do what you have to do, just make sure you get out of the house by Sunday," She said and walked out of the room. Wait, Sunday?!

"Mom! But today is Friday!" I screamed after her, getting up from the table.

Suddenly i was pushed back into my seat. my left shoulder ached from the force pushed against it.

"Don't scream to my fiance," a demonic voice whispered in my ear. I will never forget his voice.

"L-leave me alone," I told, not looking him in the eye.

"Now why would I do that?" I could picture the smirk on his face.

"I need to talk to mom," i said as i tried to get up from my seat, which was impossible cause' he had a firm grip on my shoulders, pushing me down.

" About the little arangement? No luck changing her mind sweetheart, I tried already," He said while rubbing my shoulders ina very up appropriate way.

"L-let me go, y-you're hurting me," I complained. His legs were pressing mine against the edge of the chair's legs and was begining to cut mine slightly.

"I'm always hurting you arent i? But i did tell you it would be better the second time round... Maybe we should test it out."

My breath hitched at what he was hinting. With sudden energy (and courage) i pushed myself forwards, taking him Zack by suprise and ran up the stairs to my room.

"No need to feel too excited!" I heared him laugh in the kitchen, on my way up. I shut the door of my room once I was in and slid against it. I felt so dirty and vunrable. I burried my head between my raised legs and sobbed. The one question i asked myself since i was 11 years old played in my head.

Why me?
