I scrolled through the comments on my most recent vine. People laughing, tagging their friends, and asking me to follow them. I followed a few people and then decided to finally crawl out of bed. I slipped my phone into my pocket and walked downstairs, passing my little brother who was playing his xbox.
"Hey! You wanna play with me?" He asked closely following me into the kitchen.
"Maybe if you would let me eat breakfast first, I'd play." I sighed opening the cabinet and grabbing a bag of pop tarts.
"But it's already noon though." He said.
"What is that supposed to mean to me?" I asked turning to face him.
"I don't know." He said rolling his eyes and walking back to the living room.
I poured myself a glass of milk and sat down at the kitchen table. I scrolled through my Instagram and read the comments, skipping the ones giving me hate. I checked my follower count. Almost a million.
"Morning." My mom sleepily smiled as she walked into the kitchen.
"Morning." I yawned locking my phone and taking another bite of my pop tart.
"I have to go to the store in a little bit, wanna go along?" She asked making herself a cup of coffee.
"Yeah, I'll go start getting ready." I said finishing up my breakfast and walking back upstairs to my room.
I picked out some high waisted shorts, and a 'Nirvana' band shirt. I took a quick shower and got dressed. I let my hair dry into it's natural blonde curls and slipped on a pair of black Vans. I put on my usual makeup, eyeliner, mascara, and foundation, then headed out to the car where my mom was already waiting for me.
"You sure got dressed up." My mom said looking at me as I got into the car.
"I gotta look good for the boys that don't want me." I shrugged buckling up.
"Why are we going to the store?" I asked as she pulled out of the driveway.
"Your father and I are having a few friends over for dinner tonight." She said.
"Do I have to be home for this one?" I asked plugging my phone into the car and playing my music.
"No, you could just stay at Jasmine's if you want to." She shrugged turning the car at the stop light.
"I probably will actually." I said reaching for my phone and texting her about it.
We finally got to Walmart and slowly made our way inside. My mom and I split the grocery list and went two different ways. I grabbed everything on my list and started making my way back to find her.
"Oh my god, Jenna?!" Someone screamed.
I sighed and turned around, flashing a bright smile. "Heey."
"It really is you!" She said dragging her friend over to me. "Can we please get a picture with you?"
"Why not." I smiled and shrugged.
"Thank you so much!" They both said.
My mom popped out of nowhere. "Jen, who's this?" She asked smiling.
"Friends." I said as they both squealed at me calling them friends.
"Would you take our picture?" I asked setting the groceries in the cart and handing her both the girls phones and mine.
I was in the middle and they were on either side of me. I smiled until my mom was done with all three of the pictures. I followed them both on Instagram and posted the picture with the caption, "Met some amazing fans at the store." and tagged them in it.
"Thank you guys for everything!" I smiled as they turned to leave.
"How come I haven't seen the both of them before?" She asked.
"I have no idea mom." I shrugged.
We finished up at the store and then finally got home. I helped my mom unload the groceries then I went to check the mail. I grabbed many of the envelops and shuffled through them. Five were for me. I walked inside and put the rest of the mail on the counter and went up to my room. I opened my fan mail and hung them up in my wall like the rest.
"Jennaaa!" My mom called for me from the kitchen.
"Yeah?" I asked from the top of the stairs not wanting to walk down them again.
"You forgot a piece of mail for you!" She called out.
"Coming." I said walking into the kitchen.
I looked at who the letter was from and immediately screamed.
"Jenna! Dear lord, honey, what's wrong?" My mom asked frantically.
