Ever since i was a young girl i have always loved the ocean. This is probably due to the fact that my dad always took me down to the beach. It was one of the only places i felt like i belonged. However one day when i was 12 my dad stopped taking me... he got very ill  and the next thing i knew he had passed away. I was left with my mum who worked a full time job at night so i never saw her. I had to grow up pretty quick after that.

At 14 i quit school because i was having to look after my mum who had now got a drinking problem and couldnt look after me or my little brother. I was more like the parent of the house.

When i was 15 , my mum told me we had to go shopping for food and whenever she told me that i knew what that meant... her driving. However i got myself and my brother ready for the journey even though i knew she had just had 3 glasses of wine. Little did i know that this was going to be the last time i saw my brother and mum... alive.

We had an accident ont he way home my mum and brother both died straight away in the collision and me... ? Well i was stuck in the car witht hem for 30 minutes until someone found me. I had 2 broken legs, a fractured skull and a punctured lung. The ambulance came and took me to hospital where i was on my own with know family for 3 weeks. I got let out and taken to a kids home. Where i awaited being adopted. But that didnt come soon enough. I decided to run away and get a job for myself and at this point i was 17.
I worked in mcdonalds for 3 months until i got enough money to pay for a lifeguard course.

I went to the lifeguarding course and passed and since then i have been working on skegness beach . I was 19 a few weeks ago in march.

I cant help but think of these moments when i saving people. I want to say to them to look after there lives because they dont know whats going to happen.
