Chapter 4

Rachel's P.O.V.

"You're late." Alison remarks as I enter Berry's.

"I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

"That's what you said last time." She continues on what she was working on. I put on my apron and go out to the first table. Logan looks up from his menu and waves to me. Logan is a friend of mine, well you could say best friend. But, somehow, him and Alison are dating. I walk up to his table with a smile on his face.

"Hey, Rach." He says with a smile.

"Hi, ready for your junior year of college?"

"Not really. NYU is great and all but I hate school. You're going their for your freshman year, right?"

"Yeah, if I find a bus ticket. My car is in the shop and I can't get the money for it to be fully fixed."

"I can drive you." He offers.

"Really? You're the best friend a girl could ask for." I hug him. I really couldn't ask for a better friend.

"I'm leaving in about a week. Will you be ready then?"

"Oh yes, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I hug him again.

"Oh, and off topic, what do you want to order?"

"Pancakes and coffee." He smiles and I scurry off to the kitchen.

Zayn's P.O.V.

I can't stop thinking about Rachel. I don't even known her. What is wrong with me? It's not like I'll ever see her again. I can't help but smile when I think about her. Something is seriously wrong with me. I go back to packing and fill my suitcase. I'm leaving for college in a week. My childhood went by so fast. Like on minute I was getting on the school bus for grade school and the next I'm going to college.

"Zayn, someone's here to see you." My mum calls from downstairs. I go down the stairs and kiss her on the check before going to the front door. I open it and my heart sinks.

"Hi, Zayn." Perrie says awkwardly.

"Hey."

"Zayn, look I'm sorry for everything."

"You should be. You left me when I loved you, well at least I thought I did."

"Zayn I love you."

"No, you don't. So why are you even here when you could be with someone else? Goodbye, Perrie." I close the door in her face.
