~Athena's POV~

When Sara and I got home, the first thing we did was run up the stairs to get ready. I decided to take a quick shower before the concert. I took out one of my older Asking Alexandria shirts that I had torn to look like a muscle shirt. It showed off my dream catcher tattoo nicely, well.. to be honest my outfit showed off all of my tattoos. Along with my AA shirt, I took out my new black shorts and put them on my bed, and put a pair of my black Vans next to my door.

After my shower it was about 3:55, thank god the venue was only a few minutes away cause the meet & greet started at 4:30. When I got changed I went back into the bathroom to do my makeup. I decided just to put a bit of foundation on, along with a thin layer of black eye-liner and just enough mascara to make my eyes pop. I slightly straightened my hair, making sure my fringe swept across my face the exact was I wanted it. Just barley covering my eyes. When my make up and hair was done, I put on my Vans and made sure the tickets were in my bag, then walked down the hallway to Sara's room.

"Hey Sara, are you almost done? We have to leave in about 15 minutes so we're close to the front of the line"

"Jesus Athena, I'm almost done. Give me 5 minutes and we can leave"

"Fine" And with that, I ran down the stairs making sure every window, and door was locked.

A few minutes later Sara was walking down the stairs on her phone, as always. She was wearing a black Asking Alexandria shirt with a blue banner and a skull in the middle of shirt along with white shorts and the same black Vans I was wearing.

"Ready to go"

"Huh? Oh.. Um yeah we can go now"

As we got into the car the stereo came on, blasting through the speakers. Sara and I just laughed and sang along to A Day To Remember - If It Means A Lot To You.

(Italics are Athena and print is Sara)

And hey darling, I hope you're good tonight
And I know you don't feel right when I'm leaving
Yeah I want it, but no I don't need it
Tell me something sweet to get me by

'Cause I can't come back home till they're singing
La, la la la, la la la
'Til everyone is singing

If you can wait till I get home
Then I swear to you, that we can make this last
La la la
If you can wait till I get home
Then I swear come tomorrow, this will all be in our past
Well it might be for the best

And hey sweetie, well I need you here tonight
And I know that you don't want to be leaving me
Yeah you want it but I can't help it
I just feel complete when you're by my side

But I know you can't come home 'til they're singing
La, la la la, la la la
'Til everyone is singing
La, la la la, la la la

(Together)
If you can wait till I get home
Then I swear to you, that we can make this last
La la la
If you can wait till I get home
Then I swear come tomorrow, this will all be in our past
Well it might be for the best

You know you can't give me what I need
And even though you mean so much to me
I can't wait through everything

Is this really happening?
I swear I'll never be happy again
And don't you dare say we can just be friends
I'm not some boy that you can sway
We knew it'd happen eventually

(Together)
La, la la la, la la la
Now Everybody's singing
La, la la la, la la la
Now Everybody's singing
La, la la la, la la la
If you can wait til I get home
Now Everybody's singing
La, la la la, la la la
Then I swear we can make this last
Now Everybody's singing
La, la la la, la la la
If you can wait til I get home
Now Everybody's singing
La, la la la, la la la
Then I swear we can make this last
Now Everybody's singing
La

I noticed we were about 5 minutes away from the venue so we decided to keep listening to our mix CD. Next we sang to Mayday Parade - Terrible Things, which was one of my favorite Mayday Parade songs.

By the time I was your age, I'd give anything
To fall in love truly, was all I could think
That's when I met your mother, the girl of my dreams
The most beautiful woman that I'd ever seen

She said, "Boy can I tell you a wonderful thing?
I can't help but notice, you're staring at me.
I know I shouldn't say this, but I really believe,
I can tell by your eyes that you're in love with me."

(Together)
Now, son, I'm only telling you this
Because life can do Terrible Things

Now, most of the time we'd have too much to drink
And we'd laugh at the stars and we'd share everything
Too young to notice, and too dumb to care
Love was a story that couldn't compare

I said, "Girl, can I tell you a wonderful thing?
I made you a present with paper and string.
Open with care now, I'm asking you, please.
You know that I love you, will you marry me?"

(Together)
Now, son, I'm only telling you this
Because life can do Terrible Things
You'll learn one day, I'll hope and I'll pray,
That God shows you differently

She said, "Boy can I tell you a Terrible Thing?
It seems that I'm sick and I've only got weeks.
Please, don't be sad now, I really believe,
You were the greatest thing that ever happened to me"

(Together)
Slow, so slow I fell to the ground on my knees

So don't fall in love, there's just too much to lose
If you're given the choice, then I begging you to choose
To walk away, walk away, don't let her get you
I can't bear to see the same happen to you

(Together)
Now, son, I'm only telling you this
Because life can do Terrible Things

I didn't realize that our windows were down the whole ride and we were already at the venue. Half of the line was clapping and cheering.. That was one of the first times I've actually sang in front of anyone since Dylen passed away. I smiled, got my bag and climbed out of the car then stood in line.

"You guys have amazing voices"

I laughed and turned around, when I saw who was behind us I froze and could barley speak... Ben Bruce and James Cassells.

"Um.. thanks, that means a lot coming from you guys"

"You're welcome, love. Do you guys wanna come in and hang out before the actual meet and greet starts?"

At that point I couldn't talk, James just said we had great voices.. and I talked to him. Sara must have noticed me just standing there with my mouth practically hitting the ground.

"Sure we would love to! Isn't that right, Athena?"

"Uh.. yeah. That would be awesome"

"Athena? That's a beautiful name"

I couldn't help but blush as James looked down at me smiling. Seriously who could look at him smiling at you without blushing?

"Thank you, James"
