                            MARCO

Hot damn! I had no idea that God was so unfair in creating a human being. Blonde beauty man. I'm sure my mouth was open. Its not even one of those describable hotness'. The more you tried, the more you see and the harder it gets to look away. It wasn't just her face though. Her other "features" were perfect as well. So perfect in fact, that I didn't notice the man standing next to her until he spoke.

"Well?" He said as though expecting me to answer. He, on the other hand, was a lot more ordinary. Muscular, brown hair, brown eyes... You know, normal. He was wearing timberlands, a pair of jeans and a white T-shirt. Kinda like me. Except for the shoes... I wasn't wearing any. The goddess was wearing converse, jeans, a blue T-shirt and one of those american football jackets. Her hair laid down except for a portion that was plaited Lara croft style. Electric blue eyes and pink lips.

"Pardon?" I said forcing my attention to the man.

"Is your father home?" He said with a slight frown on his face. I shook my head slowly.

"Its just as well... We actually wanted to speak with you Marco." I frowned at the sound of my name. I didn't recall ever telling them and I wasn't sure I wanted them to know it. "May we come in?" He asked.

I opened the door a bit wider and he nudged the girl. "Katherine." He gestured to the door.

She looked up. She had headphones on. Funny I didn't notice them earlier. She looked at me and smiled.

"Katherine Blue." She extended her hand. I couldn't help but smile as well. "Marco de luffy. Pleasure." Her hands were freezing. Like a dead person. Maybe colder...

They walked in and I gestured to the living room while I went to the kitchen to search for a drink. "What're you drinking?" I yelled across the house.

"Water." I heard them both say at the same time. I heard a clicking of keys and a door opening. Looks like dad was home.

"Hey dad? This is Mark and she's Katherine." I said walking out with two bottles of water.

I came out to see three things. My dad, our guests and a shotgun. Yep. A shotgun. A shotgun pointed at our guests and my dad on the other end.

I couldn't see it, but I'm sure the confusion on my face was laughable. So much so, I couldn't speak. "Marco. At what point did it become okay to let strangers into the house?"

Now that he mentioned it, how did I know whether or not it was fine to let these people in. That was probably very dumb, though isn't a gun rather excessive?

It was just then Katherine noticed what was going on. She took out her headphones and calmly got up. "Look-"

She was cut short. By a bullet. She went flying through the window. Mark wasn't bothered. He simply got up, went to the window and jumped out.

I was speechless. Couldn't move, couldn't say a thing, just stand there. "What the f@%&?" I yelled confused. I began hyperventilating. "Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my dear God." I repeated as I slumped against a nearby wall dropping the water only then.

"They'll be back. That wouldn't even scratch them." My dad said opening a cupboard.

"Hmmm... I'm not sure you realised it, but you just shot a girl out a window 17 storeys high... And the guy jumped out... And... And... Holy sh**." I was cut short. First the wings, then the girl. All the bullet holes on her shirt. Same clothes. But not a single drop of blood. That wasn't even the surprising part. The wings, crazy as it sounds, belonged to a pterodactyl. They both landed inside. I kept my eyes fixated on the pterodactyl. It slowly morphed into a humanoid figure and slowly a more recognizable figure. Mark. I decided that reacting was pointless.

"Shame. This was my favorite T-shirt." Katherine said looking at her ripped shirt which was a gentle breeze away from revealing what it was there to hide. I have to get used to this girl because long enough, the breeze never came. She then snapped her fingers and pointed at her eyes.

I quickly looked away. I got up, picked one of my t-shirts from the couch. I tossed it over, she turned around took off her shirt and jacket, and put on the shirt which was quite big on her body. Not that she was small, but I was big.

"As I was saying..." She began irritated. "We didn't come to fight. We came to give you an offer. We'd like to use your special set skills to better humanity."

It seemed she was talking to me. I looked at her dumbstruck and put my finger on my chest in an attempt to clarify.

"Yes, you Marco. You can't tell me you don't know your special. You didn't realise you knew my father's name without him saying it? You never wondered why the heat of an engine never bothered you? Or why every single gun you've set your eyes on, you knew?"

"Hang on, what the heck are you saying?" I said confused. "Dad?" I said looking to him for reassurance but was met with silence and the shotgun in his shaking hands.

"You're not human... Well, at least, not completely. You're part machine. Your skin is made from alloys you couldn't dare to understand. Though then again, maybe you could. You have what is considered one of the most powerful minds on a human being. Capable of reacting accordingly. And that's not all." She said as she picked up one of the rims of a tire. " Think of any gun in the world, point at this and shoot."

"Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Dad, you can put the toy down. Katherine, if that's your real name, you can take off the ropes. I'll order pizza." I said rolling my eyes and chuckling.

As I turned around, I heard footsteps coming from Katherine and Mark's direction. For some reason, I turned round, caught the rim barely six inches from my face, snapped it in half and threw both back at them.

This all happened in a split second. I was confused. Mark was closer to Katherine, neither were moving but I was. I was once I realised I'd tried to kill two people. I ran forward, and caught the tire part inches from their face.

Before anything else, I felt a push on my back and I fell onto Katherine. Which wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't holding the rims. They landed on her stomach and crushed under my weight. I had no idea I was so heavy. Then again I had no idea how neither of us were dead. I got up quickly leaving an apology behind and turning to see who pushed me, only seeing my dad and his smoking gun.

"Looks like you couldn't have known. Your abilities wouldn't come out without being forced to." My dad said.

"I'm totally lost... Wait. So you mean... You? Them?" I managed before fainting.

Whew. That was crazy. Lol. He's totally lost. You'll soon be too. So sorry for the late upload. Battery issues... Though I would like to ask for suggestions. This book would be better with a soundtrack. So, if you could suggest, I'd listen to the songs and pick the most suitable ones with a credit to the author and the artist. I'll see you guys later. School's back. Anyone as scared as me? Sorry... I'm blabbering. Now, for the question of the chapter...
