Chapter 2 - Trust?

You suddenly took an interest in the floor walking to Ozpin you quickly mutter,

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you and your guest, I was just following my schedule... I always come up here every morning to gre-"

"Yes dear I know." Ozpin cuts you off, "I was actually counting on you coming up here. This man," His eyes shift to Qrow, "He is a good friend of mine. I wanted you to meet him; however, I wasn't expecting him to be so rude towards you."

A soft smile appears on your face, Ozpin looks happy that he got you to smile a bit more.

"Oh dear, you look like you didn't get much sleep last night again." Winters voiced trailed beside you.

You shake your head, h/c hair following the force of the movement,

"No I didn't.. It came back.. but I still can't remember it.." You trailed off when you felt another presence near you..

He stared at you with curiosity.

"She has a recurring nightmare, one involving her parents passing. Poor things never able to remember it though, so she can't even tell us of the horrors bothering her." Ms. Goodwitch exclaimed to Qrow as she caught on to his curiosity.

This can't be any good if Ozpin was expecting me, and all my protectors are in the surrounding room.

"Ozpin... what's this about?" you voice was shaky "Why is everyone here with a strange man? Why were you expecting me?"

"My dear, this strange man is a dear friend of mine. I'm afraid something bad is going to occur soon.. something to do with the White Fang.. Qrow is going to become your protector from now on, in case all of us have something to deal with and can not come running to help you if you're in danger. He will be your 'on person'."

It seemed to be news to the both of you, because the first words you hear this man say is.

"No way in Hell Ozpin. I'm not looking after a brat all day. I have shit to do to."

"Rude. I am not a brat, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself, I am NOT helpless." You look towards Ozpin, "I can take care of myself. What has the White Fang have anything to do with me?"

He sighs.

"You haven't told him yet?" you whisper

"No, I was waiting for you. I wanted to make sure I had your approval first." Ozpin sighs again, "You were always so hard headed y/n, He will be able to take care of you.Since the White Fang is growing stronger this is a necessary precaution."

You sighed and ran a hand through your hair.

"Fine. I suppose, you're stressed enough, and if having... him. around me would make you feel better and worry less then I suppose I could deal with it."You reluctantly agree to this plan of his. It takes a while before Qrow agrees as well, but he does.

"Should I tell him, Ozpin?"

"My dear.. That is up to you." his voice trails off and you both look towards Qrow.

"How much do you trust him?" Your voice shakes.

"I am trusting him with my most precious item my dear.." He starts up again, "Your life is more important to me than my own. So, yes, I do trust him."

You nod

"Qrow. Do you remember me telling you about the White Wolf Fanus? How they are the rarest in the world, and how there are said to be none left? Most believe they are extinct, yes?" Qrow looks at Ozpin and then back to you.

"Yeah, I remember. What does that have anything to do with her?" He questioned.

Winter rolled her eyes, "You must be the most thick headed person that we know."

"Nobody has seen a White wolf since the war, they don't exist anymore. They were killed off when the Grimm came into the kingdom."

You were not a normal fanus, you had the ability to change fully into a wolf. Although, you've only  used this ability once, and that was to save your own life.

"You're shitting me? Her?" Qrows voice trailed off.. "Holy shit.. you're not kidding.. Can I see?"

"We haven't seen her change before.." Ozpin trails off. "Y/n.. Would you mind showing us?"

You take a shaky breath, trying to calm yourself down before nodding.

"Please.. try not to stare.." You began to remove the first few lairs of clothing from yourself until you were left in your undergarments. Scars littered your body, some from enemy's and battles.. others from your own self. You heard Winter gasp, your back happened to be the worst of it all.

They all stared at you with curiosity, slowly you began to turn...It was painful to say the least. Your bones popped and broke replacing themselves into the proper position to hold a whole other being. You cried out in pain, your skin torn from your muscle, replacing it with a snowy fur. Your teeth sharpened, and a snout formed ears placing themselves atop your head. Paws replaced your hands, claws replacing the nails as the transformation completed itself what you had on tore from you.

Your e/c eyes gleamed brightly as they looked apon you, the last of your kind. You knelt in front of Ozpin. Bowing your head, showing that you respected him.

"I'm hoping that wasn't as painful as it looked.." Winter trailed off.
