Tyler's POV

That was about three weeks ago. I still couldn't get over her.

Things were just the same with me and Jenna. I mean it was awkward for me, but we still acted the same.

Jenna and Josh were different now.

She was flirting with him non stop. It upset me because she knew I loved her. Josh knew it too. He didn't care. He loved someone else.

" Hey. Uh Josh. I have a question?" She said while grabbing her hair.

Her beautiful hair.

" hmm? " Josh said. He didn't even bother looking up from his textbook. " what?"

" Rate me from 1-10 how pretty am I?"

" Why does it matter?" He said. His face showed disgust.

I never noticed how his whole face changed when he showed emotion.

" Just because. So.. rate me" she was eager to know what he thought about her.

" Nah." Her face quickly showed anger.

" Why not?" She asked. Her voice echoed even though the cafeteria was loud.

" Because I don't care!" He said.

His eyebrows furrowed. It made him look upset. But the upset in his face faded away.

He turned to me. 

" Hey Tyler want to go to the tree house after school?" He asked me.

" DEFINITELY " 

The Tree house was our hang out. Our secret place. We had our best memories there.

Me and my best friend.

" Take your bike. We'll ride there." Josh said.

" okay." I mumbled.

An idea flashed into my head as I sat silent.

I turned to Jenna.

She looked upset that Josh didn't answer question.

I went into my journal and ripped out an empty page.

I scrawled onto the crumpled page.

In five years if you and I are still single we date.

AND if we are still single after a whole year we will get married.

She laughed. " Sure Tyler"

" Sign here" I said with a smile.

She took out a purple gel pen and signed.

I grabbed it quickly and shoved it in my pants pocket.

She actually signed.
