It was raining heavily but she didn't move an inch standing there on the footpath she kept thinking of her past, comparing it with the present. She had to find a job worth which could meet her needs although she had one but it wasn't what she needed. She had been working as a cashier in a supermarket. She had a degree in accountancy but couldn't find a job. It was unbelievable for her that she worked so hard in her studies but whenever she went for a job interview they always rejected her as she didn't have any experience, " Of course I won't have any experience as I just got my degree and need to work somewhere so that i can learn .... I don't know why people are so dumb?" she always thought to herself.
The ringing of her phone brought her out of her train of thoughts .She kept looking at the caller I'd on the screen before sliding the green option to pick it up, "Hello"
"Hey ! how are you ?" the person on the other side spoke with great enthusiasm.
"Adnan? Is that you?. You changed your number again ...huff! "
"I had to do it, you know how the media is and my fans. They go haywire when they discover my new number. " Adnan is a politician he's a member of a political party PTI (Pakistan tehreek e Insaaf)
" yeah right!", Anum said rolling her eyes.
" Don't role your eyes at me Anum I can sense you doing it right now don't even try to deny it."
"oh stop it already! and tell me why you called , you never call without any purpose"
"About that I want you to come here, I've a job offer for you and the pay is pretty good."
Thinking about the whole situation she contemplated to take this job or not she decided to take the offer. "Okay I'll be there in two days",she said while biting her lip unconsciously. She seemed pretty nervous about the fact that she actually gotta real job and she doesn't wanna mess it up.
"No come today..right now actually. We don't have time."
"But its...I can't prepare for anything so quick. I mean I have to pack my stuff and arrange for a transport and what if i don't find one?"she asked stating the obvious.
"A car will be send to pick you up ...just don't worry about anything everything's been taken care off ,even your stuff has been packed I called Naila and told her to pack your stuff now just go home please and get ready the car is already standing outside your apartment."
