Baekhyun was glad.

Somehow, Chanyeol and he had began to mend the little friendship that they had. They were both music majors, while Taeyeon took up education and Tiffany took mass communication. When the school year opened, they hardly saw their girl friends and only had each other to hang out with.

But of course, there were awkward moments. Baekhyun didn't know with Chanyeol, but he had moments when he just wanted to turn back time and be the same way with him before - and this time, instead of just having a complicated relationship, they'll label what they had.

That seemed like a far-fetched dream at the moment, though.

"Baekhyun," Chanyeol's voice brought the petite male back to reality, along with the slight shake of his shoulder. "You alright?"

"Y-Yeah," he stuttered as he went back to reading the excerpt they needed to make a reaction paper of. "I was just thinking about certain things."

Chanyeol slammed his textbook close with a loud thud, then shoved it into his bag. Baekhyun shot him a confused look which Chanyeol responded to with a simple flick of his head.

"Let's go grab some ice cream."

With a nod, Baekhyun shoved his stuff into his bag and followed Chanyeol out of the library towards the campus café.

Along the way, they met a certain tall blonde boy. Unaware with Chanyeol's sour look, a bright smile lit Baekhyun's face as he jogged towards the person.

"Hey, Kris," Baekhyun greeted as the taller male ruffled his fluffy hair affectionately. Kris glanced briefly at the silver-haired guy behind them and smirked secretly. He leaned down and whispered into Baelhyun's ear, "Chanyeol looks very amusing right now."

Baekhyun only chuckled as he slapped Kris playfully.

"When's your flight by the way?"

Kris shrugged his shoulders, slipping his hands into his jean pockets. "Maybe it's this weekend, I'm not really sure. There's problems back home, that's why it's constantly being pushed back."

"I'm concerned though," Baekhyun creased his brows. "Do you love this person? I'm not settling well with the idea that you're be engaged to someone you don't like."

"Don't worry," Kris smiled. "We were good friends. I wish to get closer with him."

Baekhyun sighed in relief. "I see."

"Hey," Chanyeol placed a hand on Baekhyun's shoulder, a bit too hard since the smaller winced a bit. "If you're going to continue, I'll just go back to our room. See you later for dinner."

Kris exchanged gazes with Chanyeol before he went on ahead, much to Baekhyun's confusion.

"I think he's jealous," Kris snickered.

"That's highly unlikely," Baekhyun muttered.

"Just go after him," the taller said, shoving Baekhyun away. "Friends or not, people get jealous."

"But-"

"Just go," Kris waved at him and walked away.

Baekhyun huffed, pulling himself together before running after the other giant.

"Yah, Park Chanyeol!" he souted from across the hall. Baekhyun saw Chanyeol pause on hisbtracks and turn around, his face neutral and empty.

"I thought you were with Kris." The tone laced through his voice surprisingly sounded more hurtful despite it being void of any sort of emotion.
