Chanyeol would be lying if he didn't feel that familiar beat within his chest when he met Baekhyun once more after almost four years.

Well, he honestly didn't even see it coming. When Chanyeol finally thought that he has moved on (yes, it took years) and that university was a new chapter in his life that would give him a chance to really forget him and find someone new, Baekhyun came back in the most clichéd way.

"I'm really sorry!" he had yelled in an apology when he bumped into Chanyeol, immediately bowing down.

The latter was too familiar with that voice that he said, "No, it's alright, Baekhyun," even if he wasn't sure if it really was him. But the way the male tensed and straightened up with disbelief on that beautiful face of his confirmed that it really was him.

"C-Chanyeol..." he had stuttered, and it felt so good to hear his name from his lips after such a long time.

"Baekhyun?" a blonde girl clutched on Baekhyun's wrist. Chanyeol had not noticed her there, too preoccupied with Baekhyun's presence. His eyebrows scrunched together ever so slightly, feeling the slightest twinge of jealousy - well, not really slight but yeah - but he soothed out his face to remain composed.

"Chanyeol, you know this person?" Tiffany said, whom Chanyeol had forgotten was also with him.

Forcing out a laidback smile on his lips, Chanyeol answered, "He's a friend," and thankfully, he didn't trip over his words because let's be real, they were far from being friends with the kind of history they had together.

After an intense exchange of mild talk being covered up with a casual, friendly facade, Chanyeol and Tiffany turned around, heading towards the opposite direction.

"Who was that?" Tiffany asked. Chanyeol glanced at her and sighed. She was an expert in reading or even guessing people's relationship despite their attempt at covering up the reality of the relationship, similar to Baekhyun and Chanyeol's case.

Knowing that it was no use to lie to her, he said, "Can we talk about this later? I'll call you."

Tiffany nodded at that.

Fate was just too cruel.

Chanyeol just had the luck of being roommates with Baekhyun. He found this out in the an awkward and embarassing. How is he going to attempt at trying to ignore him and move on like he's always wanted when he will constantly be seeing the boy whose hands were like a magnet to his heart?

But it doesn't stop there.

Baekhyun has a boyfriend. Chanyeol was not sure, but the way Baekhyun interacted with that Kris person seemed like it. Of course, he should be glad. Baekhyun being taken is a pretty good reason to just move on.

It doesn't work like that for Chanyeol though.

All he could feel was jealousy, the big green monster overwhelming him just too much than necessary that when Baekhyun left oh so happily with that person, Chanyeol kicked the computer chair out of frustration and let out a scream.

He realized that he still loves Baekhyun, and will probably continue to do so forever.

Chanyeol sighed and slumped on a wooden chair, running his fingers through his hair.

What is he going to do?

"So that Byun Baekhyun boy was your little fling back in highschool?" Tiffany summarized as she poured more soju into Chanyeol's glass. His eyes were starting to water and his throat felt like it was on fire, but it felt good.
