I just wanted to clear something up.
The text message conversations are just highlights of their everyday convos.
I didn't want this to have ten months worth of chapters for their text messages, so I just put time periods in between without saying how long. So keep that in mind.
I only said this to clear up that their friendship is not escalating 'too quickly'.
