2 weeks later........
       3rd person view....

It had been two whole weeks since the end of the perfect human apocalypse. Upon the first week, when everyone knew that Hibbing was safe, the national guard and law enforcement came into the city. Everyone went back to normal... almost. People were still shaken by the fact they had been ravenous monsters that craved human flesh. But within the week and a half of the end of the apocalypse, the restoration of the town began. Over 100,000 people volunteered to help restore the towns that had been affected. Virginia, Chisholm, Hibbing, Duluth, just to name a few. The cure had cured every Roamer. It lingered for months, so even any that could have escaped it, found it eventually and was cured. Just as it had been intended for bad, the cure spread all the way to Minneapolis, so no Roamer was left not cured.
There was a funeral held, in honor of Hunter. After new interviews with each of the survivors from his group, his leadership and heroism was brought to the attention of the nation, and the world. The rubble from the station was cleared out, and searched through thoroughly, but there was absolutely no remains of Hunter's body. The only thing that investigators found was his helmet, next to Ender's fire katanas, and Ender's helmet, which Ender managed to salvage after his recovery.
It was a cloudy day. There was no trace of rain to be found. The entire town of Hibbing, and more, came to the funeral. His friends at the front, weeping and paying their last respects to him. They had a headstone, carved in granite, with his birthday and day of death. A picture on a stand beside the grave, showed a picture of him, back when he was 13, the year of school before the apocalypse.
All of his friends went up to the stand, saying a few words. They had to take Ender off the stand because of how much he was crying. He was the one who showed the most how hard Hunter's death was. One by one, they went through the line. Until it was time for Leo to speak.
She stood up at the stand. She was wearing a black shirt and pants, and her hair straight on her shoulders. She looked over at the picture of him, and it was easy to see she was close to breaking down, but she kept it together. She pursed her lips for a moment, before starting to speak.
"Hunter Griffin.... anyone who knew him, knows what this name stood for... he was the nicest person you could meet... he was kind, loving, put others before himself at any cost... I fell in love with him. I've missed him every second he was gone... nothing will stop that hurt. He was a hero. He held us all together. I'd give anything to have him back..." she said, whipping a tear from her eyes. She sat down again, silently crying.
The helmet was going to be put in a display case in the town hall. It was going to be honored, as it should have been. The funeral went on, and after a while, people had finished paying their respects, they trickled out slowly from the cemetery. One by one, the group left, until it was only Ender and Leo.
"I should have been the one to die..." Ender said, looking at her.
"He did what he always believed in... people before himself..." she said.
"I know... I... I better go home... my parents are waiting.. take care, Leo... he's always here for us." He told her, and when she said nothing, he left.
She was alone. She started crying, without restraining herself. She was on her knees, a hand on the top of the headstone.
"Why... why..... why did you have to leave...." she cried, putting her head on the stone.
The wind blew gently, blowing her hair slightly to the side. She sighed heavily, getting up, turning around, and walking away. No one had noticed, but on the hill, next to the trees.... a dark silhouette.
