**So I did a thing. A lot of you were requesting for Ellie to have a story of her own, but I'm afraid that's not in the plans for me. I do have an idea for Evan - but that's still a big ole' fat maybe. Also, I successfully survived (I use this word very loosely bc still alive but I'm barely breathin') my freshman year of college and if my microbiology class goes the way I think it will, I'll have ended my freshman year with a 4.0 cumulative GPA which is super awesome.
Anyway, I hope you guys like this fun chapter and YES there will still be an update on Monday! Let me know what you think!**
Ellie's POV
The elevator doors dinged open as I walking onto my father's office floor. Smiling at Molly, my father's old and blind as a bat secretary, as she waved at me with a friendly smile.
"My my! You Carmichael girls just get more and more beautiful everytime I see you!" She said sweetly before glaring at the phone as it rang. I gave her my best smile before kissing her cheek in greeting. I saw the other secretary pick up the phone and proceed to do both her and Molly's work. In truth, my father didn't expect Molly to really do much of anything for the business, he just let her keep her job because she was old and had been working for him from the start.
"Thanks Molly. Is my father in?" I questioned, already heading towards his office door.
"Yes, but he's in a very important meeting. It's best he not be disturbed!" She scolded with hard eyes, fully well knowing I was going to interrupt his "meeting" anyway. I smiled at everyone I knew while making my way towards the very end of the hall. I was becoming really familiar with a lot of the employees due to me visiting whenever I had time after my classes. Knocking twice on the wooden door, I entered while ignoring their replies that they were busy.
"Dad, I was wondering if-"
"Ellie, I know good and well that Molly told you I was busy." He reprimanded with a harsh look in his eyes. I bit the inside of my lip to keep from smiling. If I smiled, my whole cover would be blown.
"I'm sorry, dad. I was just wondering if you wanted to go to lunch was all." I murmured innocently, putting on my best puppy dog eyes. This was his ultimate weakness and had been ever since Evan and I were three. We got whatever we wanted with just one look.
He huffed before leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. "Stop that. I know what you're trying to do." He accused, yet I could see his hard facade breaking. I'd been begging him for weeks to let me take over part of his financials department for months now, but he said it would be too much for me with going to college full-time. What I didn't tell him, was that I would be graduating in a few months because I'd purposely loaded up on classes the past three years in order to do so.
"I'm not doing anything, dad. I just wanted to spend some time with my favorite parent." I reasoned, laying it on thick while fluttering my lashes. It wasn't until a deep chuckle rang through the room that I realized there was someone else sitting right in front of me.
"Oh, where are my manners? I'm sorry!" I spoke while walking further into the room. Rounding the chairs stationed in front of my dad's desk, I stopped and held my hand out for the large, burly man to shake. He lifted his gaze to my own, and I swore my whole world stopped. The most incredibly gray eyes I've ever seen met my own, taking my breath away instantly. He beamed at me with his perfect smile before leaning forward and taking my hand in his own. The way he caressed my knuckles with his thumb had me creaming my panties.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't a stranger to the male touch as much as my father likes to think, but this was one fine piece of man. I'd had a few semi-serious boyfriends in my life and had done most things besides the actual act of sex itself. I just wanted to save myself until I found someone special enough that I wouldn't regret losing it to.
