Prologue

I slept in quietly at night. Everything was peaceful but then I heard the tiny stone that made a noise on my glass. Lazily I rolled out of bed and to the floor. I stayed there for a while before I heard another stone throw at my window glass. This time I was louder meaning whoever it was really need my attention.

After kissing the ground for a full minute I sprang up from the floor and to my window.

Carefully I opened it to find my best friend Jasmyne crying below. I sneaked out and went to meet her. When I got there she had a suite case and a box of tissues?

"You coming?" She asks

I look at her confused then realised that she spoke to me "where are we going?" I asks

"Mom and Steve are fighting again. I don't wanna get hurt. I'm running away, so Steve can't find me here" she notes "I'm hoping to go with my best friend" she adds.

I look into my mind. I can't let her go alone. Especially since Jasmyne didn't know much about getting her way around.

I nod to her and go back inside. I grab a few things and just take my debit card and credit for clothing purposes then back outside.

When Jassy saw me come back with my bag she smiles. We walk of together but my mind worry about my mother and what she's going to say when she wakes up later on and her two girls are gone. I took out my phone and tell Jassy to give me a minute to call mom.

"Hello Mommy it's Cassy. Um sorry you had to wake up to this and I'm sure Steve came looking for Jassy by the time you hear this but she came this morning crying. She was about to run away and I couldn't let her go alone so I tagged along. Remember that place we bought in Sydney? Well we're heading there now but please don't tell Steve. I don't want him to find Jassy and hurt her. I'll call you later. Okay? I love you and Jassy does also. Please don't hate us but I don't want Jassy hurt...bye" I hang up.

Cassy'smomPOV

I listened to the message Cass left for me and she was right. I did check the message after Steve came by and he was upset for not finding Jassy in her room this morning. 

I sit by the kitchen as I do every morning but today I just didn't feel whole. Both the girls ran away and I may not be Jassy's mom but I felt every bit of her pain. They headed to the home we both in Sydney a few months ago. They should be safe but still I'm worried to death for the girls.

Around 3 in the afternoon I get a phone call from Jassy

"hey hun" I answer

"hi mom. Sorry for running away" she apologise

"it's not your fault love. Your parents need to learn but running away is a big no" I let her know

She sighs then answers "I know but I panicked"

"it's okay, I won't tell your mother if you don't want me to" I say feeling slightly guilty for suggesting it

She thanks me and we continued on in talking. She said that Cassy was sleeping since they got to their new home. I told them about changing their numbers and finding a place to work while I got them into a school. Everything was quite planned out there. I would pay bills but only until they were old enough to do so their self. Soon enough I told her I had to get to work and reminded her about her debit card seeing Cassy took hers and hung up.

I got dress for working thinking what a horrible idea of them both running away.
