Mr. Gold was hobbling down the sidewalk on the way to his shop. His bummed leg was especially bad today. He took a second to lean on his cane, giving his leg a rest.
That's when he noticed her. A beautiful brunette standing outside The Rabbit Hole, the local bar. Gold was sure he had seen her before, but where?

There was a knock on Regina's door. "Come in." She muttered. She always rather be left alone, but as the mayor she had to listen to the people's complaints.Mr. Gold walked through the door. Now she was getting interested. A grind spread across her face, "Ah, Gold. What brings you here?" She asked trying to hide the fact that she was happy to see him.
"The brunette in front of the bar, you know her I assume." He limped over to her desk.
"Lacy? What do you want with her?"
"I want a date. I know you have quite the influence on the citizens of Storybrooke."
"Lace doesn't seem quite you type. Why would I help you anyway." She asked folding her hands. He had nothing she wanted.
"Please." He never said please, but he knew somehow that this was the way to get what he wanted.
'Dang it. That stupid deal.' She had to keep her deal. Even if he couldn't remember. "Fine. Come by my house tomorrow, and we will discuss the arrangement."

Regina sat across for Mr. Gold at the table in her house. "Okay, that wraps that up." She began to get up.Henry, Regina's adopted son, came out of the kitchen. "The apple pie is almost done mom."
Gold began to head for the door when Henry ran up to him. "Mr. Gold, you should stay for a piece."
Gold looked at him for a minute. No one was kind to him. "I suppose I should."
Henry gave a big smile before running upstairs to wash his hands. Gold went ahead to the kitchen.
When he got in there he spotted Regina by the counter cutting the pie. She had set one aside already. Gold walked up behind her and reached for the piece.
She obviously wasn't expecting it because she spun around. Gold felt the heat in his face as he found himself face to face with Regina. He stepped back, but it still felt like he had stood there for hours.
"I think I'll just take my piece to go miss. Mills." He grabbed his piece and was out the door as fast as his leg could carry him.
Henry had seen Gold rushing out and hurried to the kitchen to see what was going on. There he found his mother leaning with her back against the counter. She was just staring and the wall.
"Mom! Are you ok?" Henry rushed over to check on his mom.
"Yes I'm fine." Regina turned to see her son.
"Why did Mr. Gold leave? I thought he was staying for pie." Henry asked his mother.
"He's a busy man. He has things to do." Regina bent down to hug her son.
