Chapter 19

JACOB'S P.O.V

Ahhh. The sweet weather of Hawaii. Our honeymoon was a little cliche, but I was enjoying it. The Cullens had paid for it because they loved Katie so much, even though she declined. We were sitting out on the beach, enjoying the cool morning. I look over at her, her beautiful dark hair flowing down her back. I remember the wedding. She was breathtaking. Words can't even describe how amazing she looked. It felt like imprinting all over again, it was amazing, and I would do anything for her. So far we had done it so much that the staff actually knew to stay out of the house unless we called. "What are you thinking about? You look so concentrated." Katie says out of the blue. I smile at her. "You." I reply, kissing her lightly on the nose. She grins. "I love you so much." I murmur. She nods. She doesn't have to answer. I can tell what she wants to say. I hear a ring. Katie stands up slowly. "I'll get it. Be right back." she says. I nod and lay back, looking at the waves. After a solid five minutes, I hear nothing, and I feel concerned. Suddenly there is a crash. I jump up. "Katie?" I run into the house. What I see next makes my blood boil. I see Katie pinned up against the wall, and someone kissing her. I sniff the air. It smells sickly sweet. Edward. I growl and push him out of the way, making him fall to the ground. I'm so infuriated, about to blow. "WHAT THE HELL!!! THAT'S MY WIFE YOU ASSHOLE!!" I feel a cooling hand on my arm, making a light tingle. I calm down a little. "What were you doing?" I ask. "I can explain-" Edward starts, but I cut hum off. "What. Were. You. Doing." I growl. He sighs. "I came to convince Katie that she should love me." Edward says quietly. What the hell?? Something was wrong with this guy. He was saying that he was going to somehow make a girl fall in love with him, even though she was married, and imprinted on. Like what the heck?? "That's stupid." I say, pulling Katie into my chest. She curls into me. "Please, Katie. I'm the right one for you." Edward says. At this point I'm so mad I could shift here and now, but that would hurt Katie. "Yeah. Totally. The guy I'm not married to is the right one for me? So I should just like, you know, leave my husband during the honeymoon. Makes SO much sense." Katie scoffs, rolling her eyes. That's my girl. Edward looks at me in confusion. I put up a shield on your mind. Edward can't read your mind. I hear in my mind. I smirk a little. "Please. PLEASE, Katie. You have to give me some points. I was there for you when you were upset. I know so much about you. I didn't break your heart for Bella." Edward says, spitting the last part at me. I curl with a little guilt. I was still getting over that. I guess it was a sensitive topic for Katie too, because she cringes a little as well. "Jake has been there for me too, Edward. Jake knows EVERYTHING about me. Even if he did break my heart a little for Bella, he came back. He apologised, and I know it was sincere. I love you, Edward. But not like that. And right now you aren't thinking straight. I think you should leave." Katie says. When she says I love you, I growl a little. There are tears in Edward's eyes. He nods and jumps out the window. When he's gone, I hug Katie close. "You okay?" I whisper into her hair. She nods. "I won't let him near you. Okay?" I say. She nods again. I walk her outside again, and we spend the rest of the day in almost silence, just enjoying each others presence.

KATIE'S P.O.V

"Edward?" I'm surprised. What is Edward doing here? "Katie!" He sighs, almost as if he's relieved. He rushes forward and hugs me tightly. What's happening? "What are you doing here?" I ask. "I'm here to convince you to love me instead of Jacob." he whispers firmly. I take a step back. "What?" I'm so confused. "I love you, Katie. And I think that you belong with me, and not Jacob. Please come with me." He says. "Come where?" I ask. "Away. Where we can be together." Edward says. I shake my head. "No. No way. I love you Edward, but not like that. There is no way I would ever do that." I say. He starts walking towards me, looking a little mad. I keep walking backwards, until I trip over something, causing a crash. I quickly stand up and keep walking backward. I run into something again, but I can't keep moving. I see that I have been cornered by Edward. He leans in and grabs my forearms, pushing them against my sides. He kisses me fiercely. I squirm, but I can't move. Suddenly, Edward gets pulled off of me. I see Edward on the ground, and Jake is standing in front of me, shaking and growling. WHAT THE HELL!!! THAT'S MY WIFE YOU ASSHOLE!!" he screams. I'm afraid he'll kill Edward, so I place a hand on his arm. He calms down slightly, and I sigh in relief. Hopefully he won't kill him.
