Chez point of View
I was having the best birthday EVER! My Dad had took me and some guys from school to Laser Tag and an Arcade Then Out to eat at my favorite Restaurant, Red Lobster. You're probably thinking I Ordered some Kiddie meal like the rest of the guys, ohhhh No, I know my food. I ordered Crab legs, Jumpo shrimp -no not the puffs, those are disgusting-, 3 biscuits and two loaded potatoes with A large cup of Pink Lemonade to wash it all down. Now we we're heading back to our house. I guess me and the guys we're gonna play some xbox.
Soon as we walked into the house everyone was yelling "Surprise!" And music started blasting. I was sooo happy.Basically every kid in the neighborhood/from school was here Best birthday EVER!
The place got quiet as josh walked up to me, he stool had bruises and a busted lip, I was prepared for a fight.
"I just wanted to apologize for picking on your sister and starting a fight, we coo my nigga?" Josh asked
"Yea we coo" I said giving him a five.
"Now bro, you gotta teach me that Combo you used on me!"
"Yeah but the way you flipped me? Maaaaan, teach Me that."
Abby rolled her eyes shaking her head. "Boys"
"I know right." All her friends agreed.
"Hey Sanchez... I uh.. Got you this." Zariah said handing me a neatly wrapped package then pushing up the glasses on her face smiling her dimples digging deep and her braces on full display.
"Thanks." I blushed going to unravel it but she grabbed my hand stopping me.
"Don't open it till I leave."
I was starting to get really nervous. "Ok."
"Come on Sanchez! Come Dance." My brother Juan said. I started laughing and ran over to the dance floor. Pj was in the Center krumping to Chris Brown - "Popping" all the girls we're sweating him, Malia front and center.... Zariah wasn't even paying attention. I ran into the center and started snapping My fingers and bobbing my head, not knowing how to dance.
"Okay Carlton!" My mama yelled from the crowd ((referring to Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air))
I couldn't do anything but laugh.
After the party, Me,Abby,Pj,Juan,Jarikah, the twins and my mama we're sitting in the living room opening my presents. I had gotten An art set, Clothing, Cards,Money,and 2Pair of Jordan's.
"You forgot this one." Pj said holding the gift Zariah gave me.
"Ooooo to Chez from Zariah with Loveeeeee oooo I think some one liked Chez."Pj teased and I snatched the Gift out of his grip. I carefully opened it, and took the lid off the box. It was a book called 'Bronx Masquerade' .... Anybody that knows me, knows I always talk about how art is SO much more then pictures, it's all around you, it's in music it's in poetry,it's in dance.. , the second thing in there was a shirt... But not Just any shirt, It was a Da Vinci shirt, third it was a small replica of Leonardo' Da Vinci's Mona Lisa painting. Lastly, it was a letter sealed in an envelope. Which soon as I opened Juan snatched it out my hand and read it out loud in a girly voice as Pj held me back as I kept trying to reach for it.
Dear Sanchez,
Happy Day of birth! =) Your 12 today, just 4 months older than me! I know how much you Love Da Vinci and I saw these things and thought of you, and I know you like poetry alot, so I gave you a copy of my favorite book. If you reading this, it means, that I'm trying to tell you .. Well I like you. I think that your so cute and one day when I'm allowed to have a Boyfriend I hope it's you! Your smart,cute,funny,how could I pass that up? I like you. I'm sorry I'm a coward,I was too afraid to say this to you, so I wrote you this letter.... So um, I hope you enjoyed your birthday, and well uh yeah =)
