Chapter Nine - The Ex Girlfriend.
Gary's POV
As i'm walking out of the studio my phone starts to ring, I slide it out of my pocket and see the name,
'Sophia', great all I need is my ex girlfriend on my back again.
"What do you want Sophia?" I answer the phone annoyed, after ignoring her calls from the past week,
"Gary, it's been a week since you last answered a text or a call, what the fuck are you doing?" She shouts down the phone at me,
"Getting on with my life and trying to make an album, Sophia" I answer more calmly, remembering that I was in fact talking to the women I was in love with,
"Gary I was worried" She sighs, I get in the car,
"I know, I saw the texts and I got the voice mails, I chose to ignore you" I half laugh to myself,
"I still care about you Gary" She replies,
"Enough to cheat on me? I don't really want to talk to you right not Soph, I have a date" I smile at my lap as I remember what Mark had said to me previously today,
"A date?" Her tone drops, "With who?" She asks,
"That's not your problem Sophia" I reply, looking up out in front where Mark is getting in to his car,
"Well i'm at yours now because I need to talk to you in person" She replies quickly before ending the phone call. As mush as I want to just go to Mark's and leave Sophia on my door step, I decide to give her 10 minutes of my time. As I pull up to my drive I see Sophia sitting on the top step by my front door. I park my car beside hers and get out.
"Hey" She smiles, standing up and walking towards me,
"Sophia, you have 10 minutes before I have to leave again" I say bluntly. walking past her and going in to what used to be 'our' home, now it's just me.
"Gary, I miss you" Her voice quietens as she follows me through my house,
"Sophia, don't" I beg, turning to face a beautiful excuse of a human being,
"It's the truth, Gary" She replies. I ignore her and unbutton my shirt, grabbing my clean white shirt from the hanger and pulling it on to my shoulders,
"If you came here to tell me that, I don't want to listen" I half laugh and I begin to button up this fresh shirt,
"I didn't come to say that, it's true but that's not why I am here" She replies, stepping closer to me and helping me with my tie. Sophia was always fixing my tie for me...
"What then?" I say, snapping out of a moment,
"I don't know how to say it Gary?"
"If it's more times that you had sex with another man, i'd rather not know" I sigh, pulling away from her and sitting my self down on the sofa,
"Gary, that's a cheap shot, even for you" She says, looking hurt in her eyes,
"Then what?" I snap, getting fed up of her company,
"Okay, you really want to know?" She shouts, "I'M FUCKING PREGNANT GARY, AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE THE FATHER BECAUSE I WAS A STUPID BITCH AND SLEPT WITH ANOTHER MAN" She shouts, I stand up nearly falling back but steadying my self,
"Are you serious?" I ask, feeling my heart beat increase alot,
"Yes" She sighs, throwing her self on to my sofa,
"Well that makes this 100% harder" I sigh, kneeling next to her and lifting her face up to look at me,"
"I'm going to be here for you, and then when this baby is born, we'll take a DNA, that's all we can do" I smile, trying not to show the complete fear that is stirring inside me,
"You're a good fucking man, Gary" She smiles, sitting up and hugging me,
"I can't be with you though Sophia, you broke me" I sigh, taken over by the sweet smell of her hair,
"I know, I was stupid" She laughs out of I know she's feeling.
"So this date?" She down at me as i'm still kneeling in front of her,
"I'm sure the press will be all over it later, but for now, it's a secret" I grin, standing up and sliding on my suede's,
"She's lucky" Sophia smiles,
"He.." I correct her, looking down at the floor after I realise what I have said,
"What?"She gasps, "Oh my, I turned you gay" She laughs,
"You know I play for all teams" I laugh, as I kneel down to tie my lace,
"Wow" She shakes her head out of surprise,
"Yeah right, wait til this gets out" I half laugh,"
"Well, you seem happy, so i'll leave you for this man" She smiles, as she says that there is a knock at the door. I look up at I know what she is thinking, before I can stop her she is running for the door. I stumble up but i'm too late, the door swings open and by the gasp she takes I know that it's Mark, dressed up in a suit on the other side of the door,
"Mark?" She looks at me..All I can do is grin uncontrollably.
