Chapter Two - Just A Beer?
Gary's POV
Gary what are you doing? What was that about in the studio. I flop down on the sofa in the lounge and turn the new on the T.V. I open my phone and there's a text from my former girlfriend, Sophia.
'Sophia-
Gary, just talk to me, I know I hurt you but I still care, if I don't hear from you i'm coming over'
I'm not replying to her, she can worry about me, she hurt me and to be honest I can do better. I don't need her.
When I hear a knock at the door an hour or so later, I can't help but smile when I see Mark when I open the door.
"I need that beer Barlow" Mark sighs, pushing past me and in to my kitchen,
"Why?" I close the door and chase Mark in to my kitchen,
"Josie, I can't take her constant fighting with me Gaz" Mark sighs. I grab him by the shoulders and pull him to hug me, his tense shoulders soon loosen and his head drops on to my shoulder,
"Ai, let's get a beer and talk yeah?" I smile, lifting his head up, he nods and walks in to the lounge. I walk in a few seconds later with to cans,
"She called me up just before I came here and started because I didn't come to her parents house with her" Mark sighs, taking a big mouthful of alcohol,
"She can't expect you to drop your life to go places with her" I reply,
"That's what I said Gary, I just don't know what i'm suppose to do?" Mark pouts, looking at the ground, his venerability suddenly becomes very apparent and the urge to just hold him just takes over me, I wrap my arms around Mark's body, holding him for a while, it felt like something I needed to do,
"If you're not happy, you need to do something Mark" I sigh, relieving him from the hug,
"Yeah, maybe you're right" Mark replies, kinda smiling, "I deserve to be happy, just like the next man" He stands up and pulls out his phone,
"Are you sure?" I ask, I kind of feel like I want him to end it, like he said, he deserves to be happy. Mark leaves the room with his IPhone to his ear, I don't hear a lot, just some mumbled words, and 'I'm sorry, Goodbye'. When Mark walks back in he lets out the biggest sigh i've ever hear.
"Let's play some pool" He smiles.
"Yes, another stripe in for Gary Barlow" I grin, handing over my cue to Mark, who is losing by 3 balls,
"I am the master of this game Owen" I tease, whispering in to his ear from behind him,
"Don't make me spank you with this cue Barlow" Mark grins, turning around and staring at me,
"Sorry" I grin, "I need to take my shirt off, I don't know how people can stay dressed for longer than a few hours" I laugh, watching Mark pot two balls,
"Yes" Mark smiles jumping in to the air,
"Luck" I grin, throwing my shirt over the sofa and taking the cue off of Mark,
"Mate, how did you get such a great body after that rough patch" He asks, I line up the cue with my last ball,
"Exercise and a crazy diet mate" I smile,"YES" I shout, potting my last ball, now for the black,
"I know that, I was there, but how did you stay so fit" He laughs, I stop listening to him and pot the black like a peice of cake,
"Winner" I grin, "I just did Mark" I smile,
"Well I need you to show me some tricks, I'm a single man now Barlow" He smirks,
"I know, but what if I don't want the girls to have you?" I say, not knowing why,
"What?" Mark looks at me confused,
"I don't know, I must be more drunk that I realised" I laugh. patting Mark on the back,
"Yeah, you must be" Mark laughs sarcasticially. I best be off anyway Gaz" Mark smiles, putting his arm around my shoulder,
"You're not driving" I reply, you can take the spare room" I add,
"You sure Gaz?" He asks,
"Yes".
When I wake up i'm on the sofa and my head is banging a lot. sit up and realise that i'm not alone, Mark and I are top to tail with one another on my sofa and only wearing our boxers. I shoot up and pull on my trousers. Mark turns on his side and slowly opens his eyes.
"Why were we in our boxers?" I ask calmly,
"What?" Mark looks down, "I don't know" He too shoots up and pulls on his trousers, and we're left sitting in silence,
"Nothing happened?" I say, not so sure,
"Why would it?" Mark giggles,
"I don't know" I smirk, I shake my self out of the moment, "We have an interview at 12 on bbc radio one so, I don't know if you wanna go home or what ever?" I smile,
"Sure, i'll meet you there" He smiles, pulling on his shirt and sliding on his shoes, "See you at 12" He smiles,
"Bye Markie" I wink.
