Cellblock Four

} SIX {

One month later
Ryan's POV

I was sitting at my desk one boring Monday, when Jen sat down next to me.

"I just need to check something on Shane's computer real quick. He told me it was ok." She said, turning on the computer next to me.

I nodded and turned back to my own screen, returning to the game I had been playing. After our experiences with the Eatern State Penitentiary, Shane and I had announced that we would be taking a break from Buzzfeed Unsolved. Without the videos to edit or the traveling to plan, I had much more spare time. It was almost boring without as much work to do.

"I thought you guys lost the footage for this?" Jen exclaimed, clicking something on the other computer. I looked up to see a Buzzfeed Unsolved title appear on the screen. It seemed that Shane had not only saved the footage from our experience, but he had also edited it.

"Uh Jen, I don't think Shane wants you to watch things on his computer." I said nervously but she wasn't listening. The Ryan on screen had already started talking.

My face burned red as the video continued playing, and Jen watched the experience we had kept a secret for so long. I decided that it was useless to stop her now. She already knew the loss of footage had been a lie, so instead I leaned over and watched with her.

We watched up until the part where Shane and I had gone into separate rooms. The video showed what Shane had said while he was alone.

"Scare me as much as you want. I don't mind but... please don't scare Ryan. He's my best friend and he's really scared of ghosts. I just want to protect him. I don't want him to be scared so please leave him alone!"

I looked away from the screen and stared down into my lap. He had said that about me.

I heard the sound of someone walking into the room behind me and turned to see Shane standing in the doorway looking shocked. I stood up, leaving Jen behind, and slowly walked across the room towards him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and looked up at him.

"You lied." I stated. "You said you'd told the ghost to scare me, but you didn't. You were trying to protect me."

"I did." He replied, leaning down to kiss me.

"You're dating!" We were interrupted by Jen suddenly spinning around in Shane's chair, and looking at us from across the room. "I knew it! I knew there's been something going on between you guys ever since you came back from that trip!" She exclaimed, a huge smile on her face.

Shane laughed. "It took you this long to figure it out?"

That Friday, Shane and I decided we were done taking a break. Together, we uploaded the video to YouTube.

Buzzfeed Unsolved was back.
