Derek's POV
I watched Casandra beat the living crap out of Nicole. It was like she was possessed. She just kept hitting her constantly, not giving Nicole a chance to fight back even once. I struggled to pull Casandra off of Nicole but she just punch me in the gut and went back to kicking Nicole. I have never seen anyone so brutal. It was as though she didnt feel an ounce of pity for the girl as she kept pounding her face in. I couldnt let this keep happening so I grabbed Casandra in my arms and threw her into my walk in closet and held the door shut.
"Get the hell out of here Nicole! Now!" I yelled. Once I heard the front door open and shut close again, I opened the closet door slowly. Casandra was sitting on the floor staring at her bloody hands.
"Cass?" There was no reply from her. I picked her up in my arms and took her to the bathtub. I held her in there and turned on the shower, letting the water fall on her; bringing her back to reality.
"What the hell?" She shook her head and looked up at me. Something definitely took over her a few moments ago. She started to cry and I didnt know what else to do but hold her in my arms."Oh no, tell me she's still alive?" Why do I feel like she knew Nicole woud be close to almost dead after the aftermath or her attack? I wondered in my head not wanting to question Casandra too much.
It was as though she knew Nicole would be severely injured from her attack.
"She's alive, but her face is all screwed up." I said calmly trying to ease her.
"I'm so sorry Derek, I dont know what came over me. It's just she said those horrible things and I couldnt control myself." She tried to explain but her bottom lip was quivering, a sign that she was going to cry even more. This girl went from bubbly, to angry, to sad. She was all over the place!
I held her close to me and tightly giving her security. "It's ok, she had it coming anyway. By the way, nice uppercuts." I chuckled as I saw her lips twitch up in a small smile. "Where did you learn to fight like that?" I wondered but I shouldnt have asked because her eyes went dark and her face murderous.
"Not now. I'll tell you someday. Just not today." She said quietly staring at the wall behind me with her fists clenched into tight balls, as if she wanted to punch something or probably me for asking her in the first place. I would get it out of her eventually. Soon actually.
I let the subject drop and gave her a green towel to dry herself off with. "I'll be downstairs." I walked out of the bathroom but stopped at the door, "Cass, I'll always be there for you." I dont think she heard me though because she was spacing out and staring out of the skylight on the ceiling.

Casandra's POV
I smiled as Derek walked out the room after hearing his last coment, I'll always be there for you.
I wish I could believe that. I sighed, not believing that I actually went beast on that stupid piece of trash. I havnt used my fists like that in over two years. It felt relieving but scary because I coudnt control myself any longer. If I lose control one more time and show Derek what I can really do, he might start asking questions. Hell, he was already asking questions. Questions that I just cant answer.
I walked to the kitchen hearing Derek's voice. He was on the phone.
"What do you mean we lost it?...Are out of your fucking mind?...No! Take care of it Lucas!...I dont fucking care about that just do it...No I cant come now...Because I said so! Don't ask fucking questions!...Yes, she's here...Dammit Max give the phone to Lucas...Now!...I'll be there in thirty...Yea whatever....I'm warning you Lucas...Fine." Derek threw his phone at the wall angrily and paced back and forth. Wow, that was a heated conversation.
"Just go you monkey butt," I said as I leaned against the wall of the kitchen. I walked up to him and looked in his eyes. He was uncertain and he was hiding something. I couldnt bug him about it. I knew better than to piss Derek off. He was impulsive. More impulsive than I was which was surprising and scary.
"How much did you hear?" He asked carefully avoiding my eyes. I could easily tell he didnt want me to know what's going on with him and the other two bafoons so I let it go. "Not much. I know you have to be somewhere so just go Derek. Do you have any cereal?" I asked casually.
"Casandra, I'm not leaving you.."
"I know, you're just going somewhere. So go!" I said frustrated by his stuborness. "Golly, you are just the biggest butthead I have ever met," I said as I threw my hands up in the air.
"I'll be back soon." He grabbed his keys from the counter and ran out the house in a maddening pace.
"I hope so." I whispered.
I ate my cereal in silence and watched T.V. for about an hour until I got nervous and started pacing the room. I seriously needed to work on my patience.
I had no idea what he was doing but I didnt know why I even cared about this in the first place though.
All I knew was that I needed Derek and the guys to be ok, I cared for them too much, and that they were a big part of my life now.
I grabbed my jacket and the keys to Derek's black truck.I had an idea of where they would be.
There was no going back now.
