*Congratulations!  Because I was sick last week, you will once again be getting 2 chapters from me this week!  On another note, my next story after this one will probably be the dream Yukio had, unless I get deeply inspired by something else before then.

The group that arrived at the Vatican Headquarters the following morning were escorted by Mephisto, Yukio, and the Cram School Students.  Each member of the negotiation team was wearing fine quality, extremely formal clothing from their various cultures.  The first hurdle the group had to pass was the group of guards standing outside of the main chambers.

"You are not allowed to bring your weapons inside" the spokesperson for the exorcists guarding the doors said, halting the group.

"Are the people inside the chamber armed?" Queen Titania inquired, refusing to meekly acquiesce to the demand.

"Yes, but outsiders are not allowed weapons.  If you refuse to give up your weapons, then I am afraid that we will be unable to continue with the negotiations."

"Very well, but if anything happens to a single member of our group, your entire organization will be held responsible."  Titania motioned for the others to give up their various weapons.

Rin and Amaimon both complied without hesitation, as their demonic powers allowed them to be perfectly lethal without their swords and daggers.  Titania removed her sword as well as a dagger that was strapped to her forearm.  Miri had a long knife that she also relinquished to the table that had been provided by the guards.

Lord Aldin and Prince Dirk reluctantly placed their bows on the table.  Their quivers and swords were quick to follow.  Prince Dirk then  relinquished a variety of knives that he had concealed on his person before the group was ready to commence to the main chamber.

The room they entered was very familiar to Rin.  It was the same place where he had been put on trial after his heritage as the son of Satan had been revealed to the Vatican.  This time, Rin felt confident and empowered.  He knew what he was doing, and even if they failed in their negotiations the peoples of Gehenna were more than ready to go to war with the Vatican.  He stood a little straighter and lifted his head  a little higher, oozing confidence.

After the formalities and introductions were out of the way (since the Vatican insisted on introducing each of the leading members by their full names and titles, the Gehenna coalition felt compelled to do the same with their much longer names and titles - the whole process took up at least an hour), the two groups were finally able to get down to business.

"Now, what business could you possibly have with the Vatican, creatures?" Angel, the current Paladin seemed to be serving as the spokesperson for the Vatican.

"We come in good faith, leave our weapons outside the chambers, and this is how we are to be treated?  Well, Mortal, the citizens of Gehenna are getting restless.  Although travel between Assaiah and Gehenna has always been fatally discouraged on your side, there are some who cannot survive without contact with their original world.  After all, we Fae were living in Assaiah long before you humans existed.  Our peoples managed to coexist peacefully until the Vatican decided that any sentient being that was not human must be evil and thus belonged in Gehenna with the Demons."  Queen Titania's derisive tone of voice made a few of the Vatican members  look ashamed whilst most of them were simply getting more angry at what they perceived to be the intruders.

"How dare you lie to and insult the Vatican!  Everyone knows that all of you creature filth came from Gehenna.  Whenever your kind comes to our world, you try to corrupt us and make us a little more like Gehenna.  We refuse to try and negotiate with your . . "
