Bad Guy - Mashton

This one shot is (loosely) based off the song 'Bad Guy' by The Never Ever because if you follow me you'd know that I AM FUCKING OBSESSED WITH THEIR SONG 'SPIDERS' AND THEIR WHOLE 'GHOSTS AND GHOULS' EP!

(And btw I couldn't actually find a video on YouTube for this song :( so you should probably look it up on spotify or iTunes or something if you wanna hear it! I wanted to link it but apparently no one likes them and Wattpad won't take anything besides YouTube :3 SO instead I put 'Spiders' on the side instead XD)

But yeah.... here ya go!

"Half of Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer comes out as gay."

"Hidden relationship? Members of band 5 Seconds of Summer, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford spotted cuddled up together at the Brits."

"Calum Hood confirms friends relationship. Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford are officially together!"

They were on top of the world. Everyone was bowing down to the new 'it' couple. Ashton loved Michael, Michael loved Ashton. It wasn't rocket science. But life in the spotlight doesn't always have perks.

"Michael Clifford of 5 Seconds of Summer seen out partying last night. With an unidentified girl."

"Hollywood's newest couple, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford feuding?"

Why is the pressure always put on the youngest? Why were people always assuming things were going down hill so fast? Ashton loved Michael, Michael loved Ashton. That can't change. . . can it?

"Rumours spark about the couple as Valentines Day comes around. Sources say they will be spending it separately for personal reasons!"

"5SOS fans worry as member Ashton Irwin reportedly got into a car accident on Monday."

Rumours are never nice. No one should ever believe a rumour. Only believe something when it comes straight out of the person's mouth. Only they can tell you if this 'rumour' is true.

But now it had gone to far. No one could get through to the boys. Not Calum. Not Luke. Not their parents or siblings.

They stayed isolated. Away from the prying eyes of the media. Ashton loved Michael, Michael loved Ashton. Was something changing?

"Ashton Irwin spotted snogging another man?"

"What the fuck, Mikey! You know I'd never do that!" Ashton screamed, tears staining his cheeks.

"Well it sure looks like you in those pictures!" Michael yelled in return, pointing at the images flashing across the television screen.

"Yeah! Well what about you and that 'mysterious girl'. What about that!" Ashton cried. His voice broke with every other word. 

The boys were furious with each other. They didn't even know if any of these things were even true, they were just assuming thing like every ones else.

"I'm gay Ashton! I only like guys!" Michael growled. He was now crying, too.

"Whatever, Michael! I'm done." With that, Ashton threw his arms up in forfeit and stormed from the room.

No one saw the signs. No one. They were obvious though. Anyone could've saw them - should've saw them.

Ashton loved Michael, Michael loved Ashton. Why was that so hard to understand?

"5SOS' own Luke Hemmings talks about band mates Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin's failing relationship. What caused it all to go down hill. . ."

"What the fuck, Luke!" Michael and Ashton yelled at the boy. Luke stared at them wide eyed and scared.

"What did I-"

"Why would you say that!" Ashton screamed furiously.

"Yeah, our relationship isn't 'failing'!" Michael supplied.

"What made you think that?" Ashton stands with his hands on his hips awaiting Luke's answer. 

Luke shakes his head and spoke sharply, "Look at yourselves in a mirror!" Luke seethed, standing up. "This is the first time in weeks that you to have been working for a common cause! You are always yelling at eachother. Always blaming eachother for things. And you know who has to pick up the broken pieces after each of your fights? Me and Cal. We're done. Find a way to fix this or you two are out?" Luke gives each boy an evil glare before leaving the room. Calum trails behind him like a lost puppy, not stealing a glance at either of the boys standing there with shocked looks on their faces.

"Signs of an ending relationship?"

"Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin, 2015's biggest couple, calling it quits?"

"Is it true then? You and Ashton are officially breaking up?"

"Yeah. It was kinda a mutual thing. We both felt like. . . like it was the best time," Michael replies softly, glancing at Ashton who was staring at his hands in hip lap.

"What made you think that? There had to've been some sort of precursor - some sort of sign?"

"With all of the media attention we had been getting we just thought it was best to wait it out and take a break you know?" Ashton spoke looking up at the interviewer. Calum and Luke looked on quietly.

"Do you think that you two would ever get back together?"

Michael and Ashton look at each other. They stare into each other's eyes. 

"Yeah."

EXTRA, EXTRA. ASHTON LOVES MICHAEL, MICHAEL LOVES ASHTON. If only they could've read the signs.
