I have a past. A past I wanna forget. It's hard when it carries you through everything, when you don't want it to. I have dreams, too. Odd dreams. Different dreams. They make me a victim of bullying, resulting in self-harm.
My life was messed up...
A couple days passed and I was in my bedroom at home with Sam, having 'Sister Time' as she calls it! We did each other's nails and we're now doing facials! We were talking about how I've changed from being depressed to wearing lighter clothes and I'm happier! Sam is really curious for some reason! "Well, I have been a lot happier for a while! I guess the idea of having real friends that aren't backstabbers really lifted my spirits!" I lied. That's not the real reason why I'm happy! "Nice lie! C'mon, tell me the truth!" She pleaded. "Is it one of the twins?" She said in a baby voice. I nodded slowly and blushed. She gasped and covered her mouth and we laughed. "Ooooh! Anna's got a crush! Anna's got a crush!" She sang. I rolled my eyes and washed off my face mask in the washroom. She continued singing. When I came back out she asked me "So Emily couldn't make it?" and I answered "Yeah she couldn't. Something happened with her older brother." Sam looked down. Since Emily couldn't go to the dance, Mac is going with Sam. He doesn't like her or anything, and she doesn't like him, they hardly know each other! Sam wanted to go and Mac was kind enough to go with her! That's one of the things that I love about Mac! He's so kind and caring! Anyways, Sam and I watched some movies and eventually went to sleep!
The Next Day/Saturday
Sam's POV
My phone went off at 8am. I got up and woke Anna and we went downstairs to eat breakfast. Anna finished first, so she ran upstairs back to her bedroom. I finished shortly after her, and ran upstairs to join her. We both got changed to go shopping, since we still need shoes for the dance!

We went out shoe shopping and both ended up with strappy transparent wedges. They're sooooo cute! When we got back home Anna's phone went off like crazy! I guess Tinus was texting her or something!
Anna's POV
My phone went off like crazy and I got a bunch of texts from Tinus! Something happened at his house! Without saying anything, I ran out the door towards Tinus's house!
I knocked on the door and Mac opened it. "Where's Tinus?" I asked, trying not to sound panicked. "He's in his room." Mac replied and brought me inside. I ran up to Tinus's room and opened the door slowly. I saw him lying on his bed, crying. I quickly ran over to him. "Are you ok?! What happened?!" I said worriedly. "T-text.....There was a text-t.....Emma's hurt!" He sobbed. "Your little sister?" I asked. He told me about a little sister but I never met her nor did I know her name was Emma. Tinus nodded slowly. I sat him up and hugged him. "I'm sorry! I hope she's ok!" I said, rubbing his back. When he let go and calmed down he explained what happened. "She was riding her bike, and a car was driving really fast down the biker's lane and hit her." He said quietly. "She got hit by a car? Don't worry, she'll be ok! The hospitals are amazing around here! The same thing happened to my dad once, he was fine after a couple days at the hospital! Just a broken arm and leg, but he was ok! I promise, Emma will be fine!" I reassured him. "And you're still going to the dance! You're not sitting here all night sobbing!" His mom was standing at the door. He nodded and she smiled at him. "Mom, this is Anna. The girl who was showing Mac & I around the school and neighbourhood." He said. She smiled at me and said hi. When she left I turned to Tinus. "You're going to be ok?" I asked. He nodded. "I gotta go back to my house. I'll see you tonight. Text me if you need me." I said quietly. I kissed his cheek and quickly ran out of the house! Why did I just kiss his cheek?! What would he think?! Omg I'm so stupid! I ran home and told Sam what happened with Emma and me kissing Tinus on the cheek! I'm such an idiot it's going to be so awkward tonight! "He definitely likes you! You have nothing to worry about!" She said reassuringly. I nodded and smiled. Then we ate lunch and started to get ready for the dance!
