Emily's POV
I was on my laptop watching YouTube, since I couldn't find any ideas for how Tinus and Anna are going to reunite, especially since him and Mac are constantly around. My phone went off. Sam was calling me, so I answered the phone. "EMILY!" She screamed as soon as I answered. I had to pull the phone away from my ear. "Yes?" I said. "I think I have an idea!" She exclaimed. "Realy? What!" I asked excitedly. "Anna was talking to me about how she misses the Spring Dance. I remember, they played Say You Won't Let Go when Tinus asked Anna to be his girlfriend! What if we have them meet somewhere and play that song?" She explained. "That's a great idea!" I exclaimed. "There's a park not far from where I am. It's basically a forest but if u walk down the path it leads to an open area in the forest. Sometimes people go there to dance. We can meet there!" Sam said. "Sounds good! Text me where it is!" I said. I heard the door open. It was Mac and TInus! "Gotta go!" I hung up. Sam texted me the address for the park. We have our idea! I continued to watch YouTube, trying to contain my excitement since Mac and Tinus were now in the room.
Tinus's POV
Ever since I found out that we were coming to New York, I've been really nervous. What if I run into Anna? I don't know if I would be able to talk to her, or even look at her, after so long. Mac told me there's nothing to worry about, and we probably won't run into her anyway. I have a feeling we're going to though. Mac and I went out to explore the city a bit. When we came home, Emily was acting kind of suspicious, like she was hiding something. We walked in, she hung up her phone, and was smiling while on her laptop. I looked at Mac, who seemed to be thinking the same thing. We got ready for bed like everything was normal.
Mac's POV
I heard whispering. I slowly opened my eyes and checked the time on the clock next to my bed. It's 1am. Who's up this late? I sit up and look around the room. I see Emily across from me on the couch, whispering and smiling on her phone. She saw that I was awake and whispered "Mac's up! Gotta go!" then she turned off her phone and looked at me awkwardly. I got out of bed and walked over to her. "Who were you talking to?" I asked. "Um, no one." She replied. "No, someone. Who?" I asked again, smiling at her. "Sam..." She whispered. I was silent. I haven't heard of Sam since I left. I had the biggest crush on her, but I was never able to express it. Not confessing to her is one of my biggest regrets now! "Oh. What about?" I asked after a minute. "Just.....stuff. Catching up." She said. "Oh. Ok." I said, awkwardly. "Is everything ok?" She asked. "Yeah, I just haven't heard about Sam in forever." I said, looking down. "I know. Sorry." She said, also looking down and playing with her hands. "I was never able to express myself to her. To tell her how much I liked her. It was because she said she didn't like me that way." I whispered. "I remember. Sorry." She whispered back. "I hated myself when I found out. It hurts to hear that your crush doesn't like you back, you know?" I asked her. She nodded. "Or when your crush tells you that they like someone else." She added. "Yeah." I replied. "Honestly, you're pretty amazing, so if she didn't like you then that's her loss. You shouldn't be the one moping around because you lost her, it should be her who's moping." She said, still playing with her hands. I grabbed them and looked at her. "Thanks." I smiled. She smiled back. "Get to sleep, it's late." I said, getting up from the couch. "Good night." Emily whispered. "Night." I replied, as I was walking towards my bed.
