"John, I'm home"Emma said as she walked through the front door. She was really quite pretty in my opinion, she wore a short skirt that loosely flowed around her legs, a sweater that really brought out the best in her mixed color eyes. Her eyes were so cool, they had like hazel rings around them and a blue and green colors in them, it was like, all the colors you could have in your eyes were all there. Her long golden hair was slightly curly and was pulled up into a high ponytail. Her glasses were just the right size, kind of nerdy looking and she was really loyal to her friends. She looked about 16 or so maybe older.

She walked into the kitchen to see John in his full focus geeking out all over his paper by scribbling notes all over his new notepad, at least it was new a few hours ago now he has to get a new one i'm sure.

"John" She said waving in his face. " Hello?" except emma was smarter than that, she knew John was in the zone and knew exactly what to do to get him out of it. She casually walked over to the table and pulled out a hardbound book. Believe me when I say, that right then, I had no idea whatsoever, what the Heck she was doing. Until she slammed it straight on the surface of the table...I jumped so high, I would have broken my neck hitting my head on the ceiling, if I had a head.

John looked up slowly at her and fell out of his chair. It was the most awkward thing anyone has ever done. It was worth it though because Emma laughed the cutest laugh then, it was adorable. anyway he stared at her for a long time and then yelled, " What the heck was that for?" He yelled it so loud I think he scared the rest of the team in the basement, because right after that, you could hear a lot of shouting and banging of things falling all over the place. Emma winced.

" Oh Boy" She said " Should probably see what that was" and she started walking done the stairs to the basement.

" Oh you think you can get out of everything so easily, well you're wrong, we are not finished with this conversation, oh no we are not." John said. But Emma had already disappeared.

John gave a very angry grunt and pushed himself up off the floor and back on the chair and into the zone he went, all smiling and happily muttering to himself, despite what had just happened to make him so angry.

Emma walked down into the basement and just stood there, I almost ran into her, I could feel her senses straining to find me, an apparition that could hide itself from even the most sensitive people in the world. I knew she wouldn't find me but even so, she could somehow sense the little bits of my presence surrounding her, and she put her hand on her sword ready to pull it out at any time. I held my breath (the breath I did not have). Then she walked down the rest of the steps and started laughing. The rest of the team ( if you could even call it a team) looked at her surprised that she was laughing, they had knocked over almost every single box in the basement when they were training with their swords. They were surprisingly good considering they were the only people in the world that fight the ghosts.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of other sensitives in the world, they just chose not to do anything with that talent. Emma on the other hand...

Emma is different from other sensitive though. She's special. Her powers are especially strong it's really quite unnatural. Her teammates have quite the strong senses too, but not like Emma. In fact I don't think I have met anyone who has had powers that strong ever, most of them that came close met me, by the way, their dead now. Their attitudes were way too sassy and they were really rude when they found out they could talk to me. some even tried to trap me in pots and jars and other things. In fact I distinctly remember one boy who was so stupid he tried to trap me in a pot that had no top to it. I swear, he was like, yes I trapped a ghost I can talk to in a pot now in can keep you forever and all I had to do was float right out of the top of it. It was hilarious until he started screaming. His scream was like a super high pitched 6 year old girls, it was the worst. I have considered talking to Emma of course, but I know that if I do, she will try to trap me or send me back to "Ghost Town" as I like to call it. Not only that but she would most likely be successful.

Emma's story is pretty sad. When she was about 7 or so, her parents recognized that she had special powers and like all the rest of the people did, they were not to proud of it. whenever she did something wrong or messed up, they would be so disappointed in her. And it could be the smallest things too. she could like spill a cup of water and they would ground her for like a month. Yeah they hated her. Meanwhile her sister would break all the dishes and all she would get is a time out for 5 minutes. So as she progressed in her life, it started to get worse. When it finally came to beatings and abuse she decided to run away. I seriously don't know why she didn't do it earlier. Despite these weird pigs she lives with, they are a thousand times better than her family.

They used to have another kid with them on their team, a boy. He was like a little muffin, that's the only way to describe it. Yeah, he died. His name was Aden. He was pretty gifted too. He would help the Ghosts with their issues and he would help them solve the issues. But some issues just can't be solved. One day he drew a murder victim to him. Sure there were lots of those that came to him, they're always thirsty for human life. This one was different though, he couldn't get to the lamp fast enough. It got him and he died of Ghost kiss. It sounds gross but it really isn't like that, it's much scarier. Its when they touch you, that mostly kills you. Their touch sucks all the heat straight out of your body, so your left there freezing to death and there's really nothing you can do to warm them up, then the Ghost has the decision of whether to suck the life out of you or to leave you to die of hypothermia, it's really their choice. In Aden's case, he had the life sucked straight out of him, it got sucked straight out of his mouth, which is why they call it a kiss. If you still don't get it, it's like the dementors from Harry Potter, where they suck out your soul by using the dementors kiss, except here the Ghost gets stronger and it feeds off your life source. The murder victims always do this because the source of the Ghost has (in most cases) been burned, so they can't come back to the human world, which is why they feed of the human source to stay in the human world instead of old Ghost Town. Alright well, out of the sad past and back to the present.

They don't make dummies for people to practice sword skills on because nobody needs to know how to use a sword. So they would practice on each other, it can get pretty dangerous sometimes, but they make due with what they have, which is unfortunate for me, but not for them or the people that they help. People hate them though, think their mental or something, they call them the Unnaturals. They didn't like the name at first, but then they started to get accustomed to it and decided that it would probably be their nickname, but that's the Ghost Reapers for you.
