Nightmares

The Darkness

Emma and Heather screamed as they fell down the dark pit. They fell deeper and deeper and they could no longer see, the little ring of light coming from the room they just fell from, was almost gone. They fumbled around and grabbed each other to keep themselves from getting too harmed in the fall. For a while I thought they were never going to get to the bottom, but then they hit the bottom hard and both of them blacked out. They woke up about and hour later and Emma sat up hard, you could tell she was very dizzy. She nearly fell over again. Heather, who had been awake for maybe 10 minutes caught Emma and told her to rest a bit more. She walked around for a little while and looked for an exit. Her hopes soon faded. 

"It's just a big hole" She said

"Yeah, Emma was on her feet and went to the walls to see if she could hear anything psychic coming from the walls surrounding them. "I don't understand" She said after a little while. She sat down on a rock and thought hard about what was going on. 

I moved over to the edge of the pit and nearly tripped over a pole. It made a clanging noise. I looked over to Emma and she stood up fast and pulled out her sword. She ran over to Heather, who also had her sword out and was walking over to Emma as well. They started to slowly walk towards where the pole was. I moved over to the other edge of the room and avoided their eyes as best I could. Emma motioned for Heather to stay back and she ran over to the pipe and saw where I had hit the pipe, the metal was bent awkwardly and I made the mistake of running in the same direction. They could see that it had been bent a certain way so they could see which way I had run from. They looked over my direction and I panicked, my form flickered into view and I ran over to the center of the underground room and looked for an opening. Now you might think that I could just fly up out of there. No, I did not die with wings, I will not come back with them. No one will, except for birds and they just run into trees because they loose their brains when they die, don't ask me why because I could not tell you, I have no idea. Anyway they lunged at me and I literally freaked out, I thought I was gong to get banished from the human realm again. Normally that would not have scared me so much, but you can only get sent back out of the human realm so many times. I have been sent back maybe 2 times at least, for Ghosts like me, the advanced ones, they can only get sent back 3 times, then they stay there forever. There are so many Ghosts there that really want to evaporate me and make it so I never exist. Which they can do mind you, but only if they are able to do certain magic. Which every clan in the Ghost Realm does have so I would be gone forever. 

Anyways, I flipped out and had literally no idea what to do next, so I just stood there, luckily I happened to be the most advanced Ghost in the world and I was able to do the cool thing I did upstairs, which by the way, was still activated and made me feel exposed now. i'm not quite sure why it made me feel so exposed, but it did so don't ask me why. The last thing I remember seeing was the girls lunging straight towards me. A bright light filled the whole chamber and winds pushed outwards moving the dirt and sending storms. Dirt from the ceiling flung everywhere and the tiny hole at the top of the ceiling expanded and the light from the room above seeped through. I looked up, my eyes were pure white and when I looked up the lights upstairs flickered out and you could hear the screams coming from upstairs. A huge wind storm hit the whole chamber and when the effect wore off all I saw was Emma and Heather there on the floor unmoving.
