Emma went further into the basement and helped Ryan and Caleb heave the boxes back onto the table.

" What a mess" She said

Ding dong, " I wonder who that is" Emma said

" don't you dare open the door, no one comes to get our help" " like ever" Ryan said

Emma just smiled at him, and walked up the steps and out of the basement out to the entry, then she put her hand on the door. It was really cold, her smiling face quickly turned into a frown. She knew exactly what was going on. So did Ryan, he knew it as soon as that doorbell rang. She drew her hand away from the door and stood there for a little while. All was quiet. Then BANG BANG BANG. Emma gasped and stumbled backwards. Then the Banging ceased and she stood straight again and then curiously, a small knock came to the door. Everyone had come to the front door. Except for John, who was still in the zone at the kitchen table. Ryan whimpered and flinched at the sound of fingernails scrapping the door.

"That is most definitely not human" John said startling everyone.

" w-what do you t-think it is then?" stammered Ryan, who was quite viably shaking.

"what are you thinking Emma" asked Caleb cautiously.

"Tacos" she said

" um what?"

"Tacos!" " I was thinking about Tacos"

" why, why in the world would would you thin about tacos right now, better yet how could you?"

" I don't know!" " you just said, oh what are you thinking about Emma, and I was hungry so..."

"Well, what do you think about what is knocking on the front door."

" Well its definitely not human that's for sure."

"Yeah well..." " What do we do now?"

" Nothing I guess I mean if we open the door, the ghost could come in and find a permanent source in the house and if we don't open it then... I'm not quite sure what would happen to be honest with you" " It can't come out at daylight so I guess it would have to leave at some point" Emma said

"Yeah I-I guess your right" Ryan stammered, his shaking body, eased up a little.

"Let's go finish cleaning up the basemen then" Emma said

" Yeah let's do that" Caleb said frowning at the door.

They started walking back towards the kitchen, but I stood there for a little longer. I heard a step behind me and I jumped. I turned around to see Emma standing there staring at the door. She took a few more cautious steps and stopped, her face near the door, she closed her eyes and focused on the supernatural phenomena right outside the door.

I floated halfway through the door and saw a gruesome ghost standing there, it's face close to the door, it's eyes wide open and his nose was sniffing the emotions coming from the house. All the merry smells of the living drawing him to the house. Unfortunately he was quite a special guy. He happened to be standing right next to a ghost lamp and had done nothing to turn it off. This amazed me, the only other ghost I knew who could come by without turning off a ghost sensor was me. Although this guy was talented he wasn't as good as me. He may have managed to keep the ghost lamp on, but not the candle. The candle had long since been blown out. Emma would soon know for sure it was a ghost. I walked back inside and saw Emma with her eyes still closed standing there, listening. The rest of the team had gathered behind her and were very silent. They knew they should not disturb her during her psychic assessments. They were very smart people, pigs, but smart pigs I'll give them that. Me not so much, what happened after that angered me because I should have seen it coming. She opened her eyes very quickly pulled out her sword and sliced the air right next to me and stopped right next to my form, her eyes looked straight into mine. I stared at her wide eyed that she could actually tell I was there, it was amazing to tell you the truth.

" Um Emma, what are you doing, the ghost is outside" John  said.

"Come here Heather" Emma said

"O-Okay" Heather said, she was a little shaky I could see that, but that wasn't anything new she was kind of a shy person. She walked over to Emma

"What sis you want me over here for?" she asked

"Do you hear that?" she said

"um- no are you okay? Do you need some water or something..."

"Yes actually I do, but don't go anywhere" Emma said, Heather had started moving. " close your eyes and stand right there, focus on the little sounds around you, I'm going to get some iron chains" Heather closed her eyes took Emma's sword and focused.

I made the mistake of thinking that Emma couldn't see me, and started to move when her back was turned, then I forgot that Heather was standing right there, her eyes still closed she moved the sword over ever so slightly, she made a connection. She knew where I was now, she knew I was there. So much for my cover. I moved again slower this time. Emma's back was still turned away from me and as strong as Heather's senses were, they weren't as strong as Emma's. I moved a little faster. So far so good, she hadn't heard me. I looked over to Emma she was still moving away from me. I moved a little faster, no response from Heather. I looked over to Emma... She stopped dead in her tracks. Oh boy, I thought, this will be fun. She looked over at me. I was tip toeing across the room, when she caught me mid tip toe. I looked slowly over. Her multi color eyes stared directly at me, I felt no hearing connection with me. But then I realized that she had already seen me. I felt that connection. In fact I felt it a long time ago. I think the first time I felt it was when I nearly bumped into her earlier that day. So she had been holding on to that connection all day? That's pretty savage. Then she ran over to the couch where the chains were grabbed them and ran back to me. She watched as I did my special move of floating round like a deflated balloon. She threw the chains and caught me on the foot with them like a lasso. Oh my gosh it burned like heck. She pulled me down and surrounded me with chains. I was stuck. She let the others come close and they gasped as the saw me sitting there like a grumpy 3 year old child. I was stuck in that house, and there was nothing I could do about it. Until I remembered that ghost outside the door. I remembered his name.

"Leonard my boy" I shouted "come on buddy", "remember me?" Emma flinched and stared wide eyed at me. I get her, there's not very many ghosts who can speak fluently out loud where humans can hear. Silence. Darn I guess Leonard was not going to help me. Then a strong wind blew the door of the house and sent them all flying across the room. there was Leonard in all his grace sending a graceful wind into the house destroying everything in it's path and freeing me during the process.
