"Should we wear aprons? I don't want you to get dirty, you look really cute today!" Jin said as he looked for some aprons in the kitchen. He finally found my drawer filled with my apron collection and was flabbergasted at the fact of how many cute aprons I had hiding.
He started rummaging through them all and finally found one suitable for me. It was one I got in Japantown in San Francisco, it was light pink and had a pretty cherry blossom design on it. I grabbed it and tied it around my waist.
He grabbed a frilly white one I had from Maid Cafe I worked once and pulled it on. "So what are we making? Korean, Chinese, Thai, American? What are you craving?" I asked Jin he sifted through the pantry.
"I was thinking a simple Pad Thai? Does that sound good?" He asked pulling out the noodle choices and spices. "That's one of my favorites, I'll get the chicken." I grabbed the thawed chicken and placed it on the counter, I ran to get some disposable gloves because I'm a freak when it comes to touching raw meat. The texture on my skin freaks me out, not the germs.
I opened the package and Jin got out a big pot to boil the three packages of noodles. Let's hope we can make enough, I'm sure Jin knows how much everyone will eat and then is doubling that to accommodate for the two extras.
"Can you pass me the salt?" He asked me as he placed the pot full of water on the stove. I grabbed the salt and passed it to him. I pulled a breast from the slimey package and placed it on my cutting board.
Slicing the meat in half lengthways and then into small thin nuggets repeating this step for the next couple chickens in the package. Suddenly my eyes widened, "Jin. Wait. I don't remember how much fish sauce I have left. It's in the spice cabinet next to you on the top shelf." I finished slicing my chicken into small bites and turned around finding Jin pulling a full unopened bottle from the top.
"That should be more that enough." He smiled and went back to chopping the peanuts into smaller bits. I grabbed the bean sprouts and cilantro from the fridge and washed them before cutting the herb.
Jin and I worked well in the kitchen and soon we had a small audience watching us hoping to taste test. "Dinner's ready!" We yelled to the boys and Sora who weren't watching. We placed the food onto plates and dished it out.
We sat in the living room sort of in a circle, enjoying the creation. "It's so good! I could eat this forever!" I exclaimed and placed my hand on Jin's shoulder. He nodded in agreement making one of his classic nom noises from eatjin.
I giggled and looked around the room at everyone horking down the food. "Everyone must be starving..."I said aloud and I got a response of head nodding from everyone and satisfied noises.
"If you eat too fast you'll get bellyaches, if we need to make more we can just don't hurt yourselves." I said and continued to munch. I think everyone realised finally and slowed down.
"What was your favorite part of the day? Why don't you start us off Jimin." Namjoon suggested. Jimin shyly smiled and his eyes disappeared.
"I liked being able to hang out without it being in a work environment. It's nice to relax with everyone instead." He explained and then looked to Suga next to him. His eyes were closing slowly but he held it together.
"I liked going to Breakfast and walking in Namsan tower." He isn't a man of many words.
"I liked embarrassing the shit out of Jungkook when I burst into the boy's bathroom. His face was priceless, I wish I would have gotten a video or picture. Pretty great day today." Sora smiled back on her memory and so it became J-Hope's turn.
"Honestly I liked this morning the best, it gave me time to think and I got the experience the city waking up without the chaotic schedules." Hoseok looked at me and I smiled to him.
