Brielle donned a knee-ending white whole dress with tiny black lilies in design. She also wore above it a black cottoned bolero with round white buttons. As she combed her brownish silky hair, looking at her open closet, she tried to show her dimple by flashing a reluctant smile. From a section of her green wooden closet, she gets her silver-strapped Timex watch and belted it on her left wrist. She returned the pink comb to the divider of the closet. She closed all the parts and sections of the closet with a cracking sound and breathed deeply.
She went downstairs to their dining area, sat down and faced the table with fresh low-fat milk in carton, three strips of slightly-burned bacon and two loaves of wheat bread form the nearest bakery in their town. She got a spoon and fork and started on the bacon. While chewing, she saw her dad building up his blue and green striped necktie on his blue long sleeve office outfit. His leather belt is properly worn and decently looking, he is ready for another stressful action in ATN.
“Hurry up, my dear. I’m driving you to your school.”
“Are all my papers ready for my transferring, dad?” she asked him.
“All ready.” Oscar replied.
“Honey.” Jenna inserted from outside the house, wearing those rubber gloves almost coated with soil and grass. Probably, she worked out with the plants outside.
“You get the Tupperware in the fridge. There’s your lunch in it.”
Now, Brielle thinks she is such a desperate chef-wannabe.
“Thanks, honey.” Oscar went near Jenna and kissed her in the cheeks.
Jenna’s messy blond shoulder-ending hair was tied into a ponytail. Her freckles in her cheeks and shoulders are getting revealed again. She is such a white cheeky and skinny beauty. Her eyebrows are made into a mean-looking old wedding hopeful.
Brielle stood up and cut their sweet moment as she wiped her mouth with a piece of tissue paper, consuming just half a glass of milk, two strips of bacon and one loaf of wheat bread. She went into their large water dispenser and drank with a glass.
Oscar’s black BMW speeds up when the clock strikes up seven in the morning. The bright leafy roads of the forest-like block that holds the Kruger’s residence led the way out of the Alleypool concrete roads. Out there are many new houses and stores and in about seven minutes, it reached the huge gate of Sta. Barbara High. The luxurious-looking car parked at a side and Brielle gets off that simply. She slammed the door after getting out from the front seat beside the Oscar who drove his car.
“I’m going.” Brielle said.
“Okay. Take care!” Oscar showed a waving hand to her. His palm touched his lips into a cute flying kiss. Brielle caught it timidly with her hand and got away. Oscar’s delivery was fast enough for him to be no longer late. There are many parked cars near the parking area of the school. It means for her that there are many students who are sons and daughters of rich car-owners. Some look nicer than her dad’s. She usually walks with bowed head because she has no great confidence in herself. She does it slowly, not looking at the people on her way. But she managed not to bump someone. It would be a bad troublemaking start if she would. The school was very big. When she entered the gate, there was a big open guard house at the left side then a roofed pathway at the right. At the center, a vast area where there are many students in no uniforms. The grounds are all cemented and the buildings everywhere look newly-built. At the right side of this way is a very large bulletin board with posters, announcements and list-ups posted where a number of girls line up for listings. She bet it’s for cheer dancers. Her small pink back pack behind her back was swinging as she looks from left to right on the bulletin board. It contains a long printed room list. She found her grade and down to the sections and to the names. She blended with the people looking at it, too. She found it hard to find her name because of the moving people who also move her. Now, she found Brielle Kruger. The list says she belongs to the first year of middle school-A, the first section.
