You would think a person just getting home from a two and a half month stay at he doctors would either sleep, watch tv, read, or do something besides pranks. But in Ryder's mind that wasn't how it worked. I don't get why he wanted to pull a joke like that when he knew it was going to make me upset. Then again he is Ryder.

I didn't know where I was going because I didn't have a home anymore. My house was already sold, Beth kicked me out, and I surely couldn't stay with Ryder. Especially if that cousin of his is still there.

I walked to Beth's house to gather my remaining items and put them in a bag before I left. Her mom called out to me, but all I said was thanks for the stay. I headed back up into town to get some food for my trip to nowhere.

The little golden bell jingled above my head as I opened the door to the gas station.

"Hello there Casey." Said the owner. My mother and I use to come here all the time when we first moved here. We would get candy bars and ice cream for Friday nights and watch movies. So the owner became fond of who we were.

"Hey there Mr. Boss." I replied smiling. I grabbed a Reece's, a bag of barbecue chips, and three waters. This should be fine for now. I went up and paid for my stuff, then left the store.

I started making my way to the outside part of town and towards a park. I sat on the swing and pulled my phone out. Three missed calls and four texts. I clicked out of the notifications before scrolling through my pictures on my phone. Old photos of my mom and I playing together. Pictures of Ryder and I of many different occasions. But one photo stood out to me the most. We were both sitting here on the swings together and behind us close to the woods stood a person. I couldn't make out his face, but he wore a black hoodie, and black pants. His hood was on, and he was looking directly at us.

I turned around my the swings slowly. My heart rate picking up. Once my eyes reached the woods, I scanned around and found nothing. Wait. This photo was a long time ago, so of course there wouldn't be someone behind me right now.

My phone started ringing causing me to jump, and to drop it. I picked it up to see the caller ID be Mason. I ignored it. Two seconds later he called again.

"What Mason?" I answered.

"Where are you?" He asked.

"Why does it matter?"

"Because."

"That's not a good reason." I swear this boy better come up with a better reason or I'm just going to hang up. I'm not really in the mood for people.

"Please Casey. I'm your best friend. What Ryder did I had no part of. Yes it was funny and you shouldn't have taken it so serious-"

"Serious. I shouldn't have taken it so serious? He just got back and is already pulling stuff Mason! I thought the moment he got home everything would be the same again, but it's not."

"I know your going through a hard time right now. So please talk to me." He said out of no where.

"How am I going through a hard time?"

"Your mother was killed. You had people going after you. Ryder was kidnapped, and he got hurt, but now he's here. Beth isn't your best friend anymore-" I sniffled, which caused Mason to stop talking. "Casey. Where are you?"

"The park." I had to tell him. Maybe I am going through stuff cause my mother and Beth. But I didn't want stuff with Ryder. But I guess it's going to happen anyways. Five minutes later a car pulled up to the park. Mason appeared out of the vehicle and made his way towards me. He sat down in the empty swing beside me. We both stayed silent.
