^Ayley's Pov^
I grunt awake. My head aching as something falls, landing on my back. "What the hell?!" I squeak out as that "thing" starts bouncing.
"AaaAaYyYylLleEEeey! Time to geeEeEetttt uuuUuup!" Halsey's voice sounds weird like she's-
Suddenly, everything makes sense. Oh, I am so gonna kill her!
Rolling, I knock her to the ground, jumping on top of her, making her scream.
"Why in hell would you jump on me?!" Seriously, I was wondering, she knows I'm a extra sore pineapple in the morning. What? I like pineapples!
"You weren't getting up." Halsey states with an innocent smile.
"I hate you" I spit out. The smile stays on her morning face as she crawls out from under me.
"No you don't! You looooooove me!" Rolling my eyes at her, I walk to the bathroom.
As I undress, I think about last night. I haven't told Halsey her brother was here, or what him and I did....
It feels wrong not telling her about my feelings. She's my best friend, and that's exactly why I'm going to forget about her brother. I have to. No matter how hard it is.
I sigh as the warm water rains down on me. And my thoughts rush down the drain along with the water.

I watch Ayley as she walks to the bathroom. A frown dragging my lips down. I know she's grumpy in the morning but why was she acting extra grumpy?
Sighing, I leave to change out of my work clothes since it was already 12:00pm. It's surprising she wasn't up before I got home.
I chew on my lip, as I change. I listen and realize Ayley must be out of the shower. Maybe food will brighten her mood.
"AYLEY!" I shout excitement flowing through my body. I hear her annoyed sigh, but I don't let it dampen my mood.
Gosh what has gotten into her? I was normally the sighing gloomy one, not her.
"Yes, Halsey?" Ayley sluggishly drags her feet out of her room. A frown plastered on her tired face.
"Let's go to TACO BELL!" I watch as her eyes light up and a mischievous smirk takes over her features.
"No, Taco CABANA" A grin pulls on my lips.
"TAC-O.BELL" As the words leave my lips, I rush to the car keys.
Seeing me move, Ayley reacts the same.
"FUGDE" I shout as my forehead smacks into hers.
"Aw Skittles! That hurt! Fiiiine...we can go to Taco Bell." Ayley pretends to act disappointed but the light still hasn't left her eyes and for that I'm glad.
As we leave, I lock the door to our apartment and memories of last night come back. The memories weigh down on my eyelids. I didn't sleep last night. Ethan and I talked bunches all night. I still haven't told Ayley, I don't know what she'll think.
Thinking of it now, I wonder where Ayley was last night. She never came back from the pool. Until maybe forty minutes after Ethan left and he left at 12:00am.
Looking at Ayley, I didn't feel like asking her why she was gone, because than she'd ask why I would have noticed. I mean I told her I was going to bed.... I didn't feel like explaining so I didn't ask.
Sighing, I decide that, Ayley is my best friend and I will not let her brother come between us, so from now on.... it hurts me to think this but I need to stay away from him. Another sigh escapes my lips.
Ayley looks to me, a question in her eyes.
Smiling at her I shrug my shoulders as if to say "it's nothing."
I can tell she doesn't believe me, but with a smile of her own she lets it slide.
"Let's go" She says, a grin making its way onto her face, eye still shining.
I throw her the keys, who said I wanted to drive? Chuckling to myself, we leave on an adventure to TACO BELL! The best place on earth!

I watch Halsey as we enter Taco Bell, and I smile to myself because from the look in her eyes, she looks like she's found her true love.
Giggling to myself, we go to stand in line.
Soon it's our turn and Halsey orders our food. I zone out until I hear...
"PAITYN?!" My head snaps up and my gazes falls upon The gorgeous Paityn, her brown hair has grown long and tied into a ponytail. Her blue eyes shine with excitement when she see us.
Running around the counter, she crushes us in a giggled filled hug.
"Oh my gosh! Paityn! I can't believe it's you! I thought you were living in California! Heartsville hasn't been the same without you! Giiirrl! I missed you!" I gush, pushing Halsey out of the way.
"Gosh! Pillow! You look amazing! I've been back for a few months now, but I'm still trying to settle in. I missed you too!" At the sound of my nickname, tears fill in my eyes as I realize truly how much I missed her.
"Excuse me! Move Ayley!" Halsey pushes me out of her way and crushes Paityn in a hug that looks to be leaving her with no way to breathe.
"Why didn't you call us?!" Halsey tries acting all tough and mad but she can't help the smile from shining within her eyes.
"I lost y'alls numbers. Or else I would've called you. I tried looking for y'all but no one lives where I remember them living!"
Cutting in I laugh. "Girl! You left two years ago on Halsey's birthday! Merry Christmas to us! Of course that Christmas wasn't so happy for you either.... I'm sorry about your parents..." A sad smile pulls her lips down.
"It's okay, gosh, it's been two years and it still hurts..."
Halsey and I don't hesitate to crush her in a more meaningful hug this time.
"After your shift you have to come over! Give me your phone! I'll add our numbers and text you the address!" I quickly say, grabbing her phone.
After typing in our numbers, I make her text both of us so we have her number.
"Paityn! I kinda need your help here." A slightly panicked hot guy calls out.
We all turn and I swear we all swoon.
"Coming Sam! I'm sorry!" She shouts back.
"Sam don't you mean Da-" Halsey gets cut off by my hand on her mouth.
Paityn rushes to help Sam. Turning she shouts. "See y'all later!"
Not able to resist I'm sure, Halsey shouts. "BRING TACOS"
I laugh and drag Halsey out the door.
Man, we sure missed our girl.
