Chapter 17:

*Zander's POV:*

I parked the SUV on Helga's house. I knew her secret. She didn't need tell me, but rather I can feel it. No wonder she lives in Donna Lane, which was super quiet and calm. I knew that she wanted her privacy as well as her secret to be kept in low. I can't blame her since the world out there is crazy. But I needed to talk to her privately.

Aileen opened the door and got out, turning to look at me. "Are you coming with me or are you going back to school?" She asked me.

"I'm coming with you, Kitten." I said turning off the engine. I opened the door with a small smile on my face. I was nervous on seeing Helga. As I stepped down and touched the gravel on the street, it felt different; safe. It must be a safety spell.

As Aileen and I made our way to Helga's house, and as soon as we stepped foot on her porch, the front door opened.

"Aunt Helga!" Aileen said as she ran over to Helga's arms giving her a hug.

"Darling," Her calm, grandma like aura, posture and voice that made my wolf and I feel safe around her. Her eyes shifted to me and she smiled. "Zander," Both, Aileen and Helga pulled away from the hug, and she gave me a head bow.

I nodded and gave her a smile. "Helga, how are you?"

She chuckled and looked in between at Aileen and I. "Great, come on in guys,"

Aileen turned to look at me and she held out her hand for me to take. I gladly took and we made our way inside. Once we were inside, Aileen kept walking and we sat down on the couch, while Helga told us she was going to get us some drinks.

"I like her," I told Aileen. "She's nice and she reminds me of my Mother." I tell her.

Aileen's eyes traveled to mine. "She must be a nice lady," She whispered.

I nodded.

My Mother, Isabella Woodrow, former Luna of the Woodrow Pack. She was really nice, sweet, and caring. I can't wait until the day that my Mom can finally meet Aileen. She keeps asking me when she will meet her. My Father Rhydian Woodrow, former Alpha of the Woodrow Pack, on the other hand, he's a nice man, but he also still has his Alpha side. He can be rough and discrete at times. But life in the city for both of them is different than being in the woods all the times, but both of them like living in the city.

When my Father was Alpha, he changed a lot of things in the werewolf community. Some of those things were good while others were bad. Yet, everything, as he used to tell me, has a purpose; that is why he did things that he sometimes regrets.

Leading one of the top packs in the continent was hard and stressful for me. Yet, that is why Alpha training came in handy and I always watched my Father doing his duties ever since I was a child.

"She wants to meet you one day." I mumble.

Helga came in with a tray of drinks in her hands before Aileen could respond to what I just mumbled to her. She placed the tray in the coffee table and she sat down in front of us. "I brought you guys some coffee, since I know–," She looked at Aileen. "–that you love coffee so much."

Aileen giggled as she took her cup and mines and she handed me mine. I took a sip of it and the hot drink settled in my stomach. It was delicious, tasty, and warm. I looked at Helga and to my surprise, I found her staring back at me. She smiled and took a sip of her drink.

She broke eye contact and looked at Aileen. "Aileen, honey, I have a present for you in my bedroom." She said as she gave Aileen a smile.

A smile formed on Aileen's beautiful face. "It's not my birthday yet,"
