*On a little side note, this is still on Zander's POV!*
Chapter 29:
The whole drive to Aileen's house was quiet. My left hand was on the steering wheel while my right hand was gripping on her thigh with her hand on top of mine.
"Take me to your house–the pack house." She said quietly.
I glanced at her to see her brown eyes looking into mine. Without hesitation, I nodded my head and took the road that lead to the pack house. My thumb was rubbing against her skin which made Magnus feeling satisfied.
I was taking my time driving over to the pack house. One, because, well I wanted to take the sweet time gripping her thigh; the sparks were there and there was no way of her denying that she didn't feel them, and two, because we weren't really in a hurry.
"I have a couple questions," She whispered.
I looked at her as I bit my lip in thought. "Kitten," I started. "Are you sure you want to ask me these questions? I mean look at what happened earlier. Your conscious–,"
"–Ailani." She cut me off. "My conscious' name is Ailani; at least that's what she told me." She murmured the last part but I still heard.
With that, Magnus purred in the back of my mind at the mention of that name.
"Ailani got out." I said quietly mostly to myself.
Questions raced in my mind; why would her wolf be already talking to her? It's too early for that. I mean, a female wolf usually shifts around the age of eighteen or nineteen. But Aileen won't turn eighteen for another week or so.
She was in deep thought. I could tell by the look on her face. "I won't let her out, I promise. The questions I have are mostly about wolfs–werewolves." She corrected herself. "I'm just, as you know, still a little off on the topics about werewolves. But I just want to ask a few things–to my curiosity."
I nodded slowly. "Alright, Kitten." I said. "But, if I see your–Ailani–,"
"You'll stop." She finished for me.
I smiled and chuckled, but eventually nodded. "Do you want to ask me now or you want to wait until we get to the pack house?"
Her fingers skimmed over my hand which caused me to get goose bumps in my arms and the hairs on my neck to stand up. "I'll wait until we get to the pack house."
I glanced at her with a small smile on my face.
She was already looking at me with a look on her face causing me to slightly flush.
She sure has no idea what she's doing to me.
*Aileen's POV:*
Fifteen minutes later, I was sitting on the warm office that belonged to the Alpha of the Woodrow Pack–or also known as my boyfriend; Zander. He was sitting on his chair with both of his hands together resting on his desk, and he was watching me as I took a long sip of water.
We were just staring at each other and I was taking in all his facial features once again; just admiring his handsome face. His pink plump lips were pressed together, his jawline had stubble, his ears were now with two diamond studs rather than the hoops he usually wore, and his brown eyes were watching me with such admiration and curiosity.
I removed the water bottle from my lips and his brown eyes went to my lips for a second before he looked back at me. "What's a Luna?" I asked as I closed the water bottle. "I've had people telling me that. Doesn't that mean moon in Spanish?"
