Alarm

Delirious P.O.V

"What's going on?" Mini asked through the ear bud.

"No one seems to be home" I answered.

"I thought that's the whole pointing for coming here!" Wildcat examined.

I thought about Wildcat's statement, it's true. The whole plan was to investigate the unknown and now missing person.

With Terroriser in the van with Mini who is currently disabling the alarms, Lui on the opposite house from us which he had to break in with Moo as his look out, Nogla and Cartoonz are asking neighbors about the person or have any idea on who owns the house and Wildcat is disabling the traps, for example the bomb that was set up in front of the main entrance of the house. He cut the wire for me and Vanoss.

"Should we remain in our position?" Lui sigh.

"Yeah, for now, " I said.

"For fock sakes man" Nogla groan. "No one is telling us anything, they claim they haven't seen no one coming in or out of that house. They didn't even know someone lived in that house, I wouldn't have either. That house looks it's gonna fall down anytime. This is boring"

"The young lady's tea was good at least" Cartoonz hums.

"Y'er didn't see the love eyes, she had been giving ya?!" Nogla scoff.

"Shut up, Nogla" Cartoonz sighs.

"She probably put a focking love potion in that tea, for all ya know," Nogla said.

"You ate the fucking cookies-" Cartoonz was interpreted.

"Quiet. I get stuck being an outlook even though I don't know what I'm looking out for so I have it worse" Moo competes with Nogla and Wildcat.

"We will leave right after I figure out what's going on" I pointed out.

"Stop complaining, we do bigger missions than this" Terroriser mutters.

"You have fucking AC while we sit still in the fucking heat roasting!" Wildcat yelled.

"Okay okay okay!" I calm Wildcat down, my ears about to bleed. "I gave Vanoss some time to do things on his own; Lui, report"

"He is standing in front of a doorway that leads to an empty office, a little too empty," Lui said, suspicious.

"There's an alarm in front of it, I'm guessing he is aware of that" Mini points out. "Check if there's a keypad or any lock"

"No, none beside the door," Lui says.

"Yeah, I'm getting the same from around the house. Looks like there is no way to disable it manually" Mini explains.

"How does he know there is an alarm there?" Cartoonz ask.

"He knew the guy and if he knew this, he knew the guy on a personal level" I roll my eyes as I said it, I was furious. We are here for no reason at all but that's not taking me back from getting any information or evidence.

"What kind of alarm is it then? Moo ask.

"Seems like lasers and it had a motion sensor inside as well. My program system picks up heavy explosive radiation so once the motion sensor is triggered..." Mini didn't need to fill us up on the rest.

"Can you turn it off?" I shift uncomfortably in my seat and my leg starts to bounce up and down.

"No, they're an expert. They made their own system as mine, I broke through the first wall and got right into a trap. It uploaded a virus onto my laptop, messing with my feed" Mini explains.

"How can he disable it?" Cartoonz wonders.

"This seems like an 'end of the world' alarm" Mini points out. Meaning if they were to run away then anyone who pass the alarm, destroys the information as well as themselves. Even if they were to come back, they couldn't get the information they trapped in the first place.

"But if there is an empty desk, why destroy it if there is nothing there?" I grunted in frustration.

"He probably has a secret drawer, cabinet or vault" Moo suggested.

"Vanoss did say something about a vault" I referred back. "But he says it's not here"

"And you believe him?" Cartoonz says.

"I'll get Vanoss" I spoke. "Everyone gather to the van and get out of here. If this thing explode because of Vanoss's stubborn ass, you shouldn't be here"

"This is we why came! In order to help y'er through any kind of situation, Delirious." Nogla groans. "Why do 'er keep doing this? I rather am killed protecting the people I grew to love"

"Nogla, cheesy and gay as fuck but yeah what he said," Terroriser said.

"We are never having this conversation again. We are with you whether you like it or not. End of story" Moo hums.

"I'll try to back my system up and circle the virus which will take time" Mini informs.

"I'll try to locate the bomb" Wildcat chuckles nervously "It should be under the house or probably inside the office"

"I'll stay watch and Moo will just sit there" Lui switches to his high voice.

"Oh wow," Moo said "Thanks"

"I need someone to watch me, I'm a kid! I'm saying you have an important job to keep an important person from getting kill"

"I would have no problem killing this 'important' person on my own" Moo gritted his teeth.

"Hey, no need for such violence" Lui switches back.

"Hey, kids. We aren't here to babysit so stop fighting. I and Nogla will go to the nearest police stations after I finish talking to the landlord" Cartoonz informs.

I get out of the car once I confirm about everyone's position. My hand taps the keys on the hood of the car as I look at the house once more, the whole thing is giving me a headache and is messing with my head and nerves.

I desire for answers now, anything useful will help just to get us away from square one; a lead. I just need something to settle me.

I head for the house, ready to face Vanoss, ready for what's about to come, ready to find anything to help the gang out.
