Time (Noctis X Reader)

So just to let you guys know I skipped ahead a little bit and there will be a flashback from a few days ago~ but please let me know how you liked it and yeah haha that's all I have to say ^^

"Umbra? What's he doing here?" Noctis kneeled down in front of Umbra and patted his head and reached for a book that he and Luna used to to communicate with each other.

As he opened the book he held out a letter that was addressed to you. You looked at him with wide eyes and grabbed it from him. "Thanks Noctis."

It read "Do not read until you get the news..."

'News?' You thought to your self feeling very confused which made you want to open it right away...

~time skip~

As you and Noctis woke up, you stood up to go watch outside so you just stood near the window and Noctis was sitting up on the bed trying to not feel so tired.

"Heya, morning." Prompto said.

"Morning." You replied with a smile. Noctis got up and noticed Ignis missing.

"Where's Specs?"

"Should be back any minute now." Gladio said and crossed his arms and you sighed.

Ignis came in and you all turned and saw him looking at Noctis. You narrowed your eyes and leaned your hip to the side and crossed your arms.

"What's that look for?" Noctis asked.

Gladio nods his head to the newspaper and Ignis hands it to him. "It's in all the papers."

"What is?" You went to go stand by Noctis. You knew this couldn't be good news.

"Insomnia... falls..?" Prompto read as he leaned over to see what it said.

"Wha...?" Noctis eyes went wide and he stepped forward a little bit.

"Is this your idea of a joke?" You grabbed Noctis shoulder and he looked over at you for a quick second before looking back at Ignis.

"I need you to calm down so I can explain."

Noctis walked up to Ignis and you rushed to his side to make sure he didn't make and rash decisions.

"I'm as calm as I'm gonna get."

"There was an attack. The imperial army has taken the crown city.."

Your eyes widen and you rushed to grab your bag and everyone was wondering if you were ok. You grabbed out the letter you got from Luna and began to open it as Gladio read some of the paper.

"As treaty room tempers flared, blasts lit the night sky. When the smoke about the Citadel had cleared, the king was found....dead."

Noctis shook his head. "No, wait, hold on..." You finally had the letter and on it said:

To ____,
As you may know, I am Lady Lunafreya... I met your brother Nyx. At that part you had tears running down your face.
The Kingsglaive had betrayed your brother and had come to rescue me.. everything was falling apart. I know that you are with Noctis and I know once he hears his father is dead. It will kill him... I watched him die in front of my eyes, your brother was there as well. Your kingsglaive commander was the one who had done it. Your brother had wrote a letter to give me to you. Please know from the bottom of my heart. If you ever need anything if you need to talk. I'll be here..

Noctis noticed you were sitting on the bed crying with your hand covering your mouth. He went over and sat down beside and put his arm over your shoulder and pulled you in for a hug as you continued reading.
