On Our Way

"Are we?" Noctis said slightly irritated and as he said that he placed his hand on his hip. "The boats bring you here." You looked over at Gladio to see that he was eyeing the suspicious stranger as well.

Prompto stood slightly behind you and asked "What about 'em?" The suspicious stranger turned around slightly and scratched his head "Well, they'll not take you forth."

"And what's your story?"

"And what's your story?"

You and Gladio asked at the same time and you both chuckled at little. "I'm an impatient traveller, ready to turn ship."

As he said that he started walking away and you guys turned around to watch him leave until it looked like he had something in his hand and said something "This ceasefire's getting us nowhere." He quickly turned around and tossed a coin at Noctis which Gladio caught and Gladio furrowed his brows.

"What's this? Some sort of souvenir?"

Prompto came up to look at it with a little excitement. "They make those?!"
Noctis looked over back at Prompto "What? No."

"Consider it your allowance."

You walked up to him and crossed your arms "Who's allowing us?" the stranger opened his arms and began to turn around to walk away. "A man of no consequence."

"Yeah, right." Noctis said with a roll of the eyes. Noctis walked up to you and placed an arm around your shoulder and you looked up in confusion.

"Yes? Need something?"

Noctis shook his head and your furrowed your eyebrows. "Alright then."

You started making your way to the port with Noctis beside you. "So you believe anything that guy said about the port being closed?"

"Nope, not until we see it for ourselves." He said as he jogged a little bit towards the port.

As you finally reached it the sun was starting to set and Prompto sighed "Aw, man. Not a boat in sight.. What gives?"

As you all went to get a place to stay a man who was sitting on a bench suddenly spoke up "According to my resources, the empire, giving strict orders not to let any vessels leave the docks of Altissia."

You went up beside Noctis to hear what the man has to say.

"Real shame if you were late to your own wedding right, Prince Noctis? Name's Dino, by the way. Pleasure."

"So.. What are you? A reporter or something? That would be the only way you would know Prince Noctis is here... Well the only way I can think of." You said and this Dino guy apparently knew everyone that was with Prince Noctis.

"Ah. ____ Ulric, from the Kingsglaive. Sister to Nyx Ulric also known as the "Hero", right?" You looked at him slightly in shock and nodded 'Lucky I didn't wear my uniform today even though he still knew who I was' you thought to yourself "So I'm guessing you know who everyone here is then?"

"I do. My job as a reporter and surely you didn't think Prince Noctis bounty-hunting in his fancy car would go unnoticed--at least not by this reporter." He said as crossed his legs and had a slight smirk on his face.

You placed a hand on you hip and Noctis sighed at the whole situation "Alright.. So what do we gotta do to keep incognito?"

"Hey, knew you would come around let me see your map." Noctis pulled out his map and handed it over to him.

While you murmured "Of course he would if he wishes to remain incognito." Noctis apparently heard you and smiled slightly at the comment you made.

Dino gave Noctis the map back, "Marked where you need to go on your map. All you gotta do is find me some rough gemstones."

You nodded your head and rolled your eyes. "Ok I think we get it... don't mean to be rude but we are on a bit of a time schedule."

Dino shook his head "Well as I was saying... If you do this, your ship will come in and you don't. The papers will run you outta town. Capisce?"

You and Noctis looked backed at the guys and started to walk away.

"Not surprised he played that card if he really is a reporter.."

Gladio ruffled your hair "Couldn't agree with you more."

"We didn't really make much of an effort to keep secret." You said and rolled your shoulders back. "Can we do that whole treasure hunting thing tomorrow? It's getting late and I'm getting tired haha. What do you guys think?"

They all nodded.

"Sure, sounds like a plan."

"So can't wait to eat something Iggy." Prompto
said with a childish glee.

"Of course, I make the best food around and you guys are my taste testers."

You smiled slightly and begin walking slowly behind them. You walked near the railing of the bridge and breathed in the sea air.

"What're you doing here walking by yourself?"

You jumped slightly at the unexpected voice. You turned your head to see Noctis walking beside you.

"Just thought I'd talk my time... I'm always on the go, so this is... this is actually a nice change of pace."

Noctis nodded "I agree, it just seems that we never get time to ourselves anymore. Especially me... I would just like a break. Just get away from all this.."

Your eyes widen a little bit, "Oh... I didn't quite expect that from you."

Noctis smiled and looked at you. "What do you mean?"

"Well, just never expected you to sorta.. I don't know... open your thoughts up to me I guess." You shook you head and walked ahead a little bit faster. "We should probably get back to camp they are probably waiting for us."

-time skip-

"____, come on.. it's time to get up."

You flipped over to ignore whoever was trying to wake you up from your sleep and squished your face into the pillow.

"You know, hiding won't get you away from waking up, right?"

You had thrown another pillow at the person who was trying to wake you and pulled your covers up even further.

"Alright, I'll dump water on you."

You jolted awake and sat straight up. "I'm up, I'm awake. Please don't dump water on me."

Gladio smiled, "There we go! She's finally up! She's worse then the princess outside."

"Hey! I heard that! What's with that?"

"It's true!" Gladio yelled back.

"Alright, I'll get dressed and meet you guys out there and then we can go."

Short chapter I know but it's like 2am and I'm tired lmao I should have another chapter up in a few days or so hopefully if I'm not to busy!
