"You all what?" Mrs. Smith screamed when Kaitlyn told her about the plans she had made for the Drama Club to split up the next day at school. The emergency Drama club meeting had been announced in the daily news in the morning, along with the reminder that this was the day that everyone was splitting up.

Kaitlyn just stood straighter, making her just a bit shorter than Mrs. Smith. "I decided that the Drama Club will be splitting up based on their beliefs of what is the true meaning of Romeo and Juliet. Each group will put on a performance, and the group who gets more people to show up and like it, wins." Kaitlyn drew a breath as if she was going to tell Mrs. Smith about the losers of the bet had to do, then stopped because she thought better of it.

Mrs. Smith caught it though. "Wins what?"

Kaitlyn's eyes darted away from Mrs. Smith's scrutiny. "This part was optional; group members could decide if they wanted to be in it."

"What was the bet about, Kaitlyn?"

Kaitlyn swallowed. "The losers had to leave Drama club."

Mrs. Smith just walked back to her office, muttering to herself.

Kaitlyn sighed in relief. "Well, that could have gone much worse. Now," She turned towards the rest of the club. "If you agree with Brittany, go get behind her. If you agree with me, stand beside me. If you want to participate in the bet, tell us." No one moved. "Well, what are you people waiting for? Hurry up!" After that, everyone but Ajax, Rae, and Jackson swiftly went to their respective sides. Rae and Jackson weren't scared of Kaitlyn like a lot of people were, and Ajax just remained sitting.

"Oh, yeah. I'm not choosing a side. I'm gonna remain neutral in all of this. Maybe like a overseer, or something like that. We never did set any rules, you know."

A murmur of approval went through the crowd. Rae looked over at Jackson, not making any conscious thought to do so. He smiled, and lifted his hand in wave, but she had looked away before he completed the action.

"What would be the rules?" Someone asked.

     "No interference." Brittany said.

Kaitlyn rolled her eyes. "Of course you would come up with something that would take all the fun out of it."

"No fighting. Anyone who gets into a fight or interferes will be barred from performing the plays." Ajax said, pointing at Kaitlyn with a hand on his hip.

Kaitlyn huffed. "Fine, whatever. I'll still win."

"No bribing potential audience members either. Anyone who does will be barred from performing, too."

"I think that being barred from performing should just be a general consequence." Marco's girlfriend, Mackenzie suggested.

"That...is not a bad idea." Ajax said, putting a finger to his chin in thought. "Okay, that's what we'll do. Anyone who breaks the rules we come up with will be barred from performing." Another murmur of approval went through the Drama club. Marco and Mackenzie smirked at each other; the former throwing his arm over her shoulders, and kissed her temple.

Ajax sighed in annoyance. "Gosh, you straight people just can't control yourselves, can you?" The couple sent matching glares his way, but Ajax just shrugged them off. "Anyway, no fighting, no interference, and no bribing people into attending your play. Anyone who does will be barred from performing. I think that covers everything we need."

"That works for me." Brittany said.

Kaitlyn shrugged her shoulders in a non-committal fashion. "It's fine, I guess.
