Lynn

Yesterday, Adrik told Connor and I we needed to keep Bunny and Killer close by at all times so today, they are waiting outside for us to get out of school. Trust me, I am counting the minutes. Right now there are five. I sigh and look over to see Scarlett glaring at me. She's pissed that I haven't been hanging out with her lately, but she needs to understand that our family is going through some things right now and that is more important then her wanting to go to the mall, which I hate, or making out, which I don't hate. I am thinking we have outgrown each other because lately, she has been getting on my nerves a lot.

The bell rings, finally, school is over. I gather my shit and stroll out the door. "LYNN, Wait!" I hear her calling and she jogs up next to me. "Look, I know that you have had shit going on, but you never make time for me anymore." I nod, "I know, I'm sorry but my family comes first, you know that. Mom is having a rough go of it and I need to be there for her." She snorts, "Your Mother is always having a rough go of it, she's a big girl, let her handle her own shit." I grind my teeth, "This is our problem, Scarlett. You are so fucking selfish sometimes." She gasps, "How can you say that I just mean she is putting a lot of stress on you. You are a kid, not an adult."

I roll my eyes, "Look, I have to go. Call me later." She grabs my arm, "No, we need to talk about this, no running away." Bunny steps towards me and I smile at him. Scarlett shrieks, "That is the ugliest thing I have ever seen." I glare at her, "That is Bunny, my dog." She scoff, "Figures, you always had a thing for strays." I was so done," You know what. I have had enough from you. We, us, this thing, is over and done with. I'm sorry, Scarlett, but I can't deal with your shit anymore." Just then Connor comes out with a grin, "Sup, Scar?" She snarls at him, "Shut up, Loser. Fine, you want to break up, then we are over. Don't come running back, Lynn." She flips her hair and storms off. Connor shrugs, he already knew, little shit.

We are walking home with Killer riding on Bunny's back, "Do you ever walk, you lazy little thing?" I ask her and she purrs at me, "Of course, but I have tiny legs and I could never keep up with the rest of you. Plus, Bunny is warm and soft." Bunny rolls his eyes, "Damn kitten, she fluffs me, Lynn, fluffs me." He whines. I laugh and pat his head. We are about halfway through the woods when we hear movement. Bunny moves around to get behind it, melting into the shadows. Suddenly, three men step out of the woods.

"Well, lookie here, boys. Fresh meat." The biggest one says, eyeing me. "Fuck off, asshole. You are in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you want to live, then get out of here." I tell him calmly. He sneers, "Shut up, little girl. Grab her and the boy, they will be useful." I laugh, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." He glares at me, "And why not?" I point behind him where Bunny emerges from the shadows, growling, and Killer on his head, puffed out and hissing. "HOLY SHIT, A HELLHOUND!" In no time, the three men are shredded to bits. I groan, "Mom is going to make you take another bath, Bunny, you too, Killer." Bunny seems excited, "Did you bring the strawberry wash? I love that stuff!" I sigh, "Yes, you big sissy." Killer groans, "I'm a cat, cats hate water."

Connor laughs, "But you're dirty!" She shrieks, "NO! I can't be dirty, we need to hurry." I laugh and we take off for the pack house. Luckily Mom isn't home yet, but Adrik is there and sees a bloody Bunny and Killer. "What happened? Are you all ok?" I smile, "Yeah, we were attacked by rogues, but Bunny and Killer shredded them, now they need baths." He scrunched his nose, "My Mom will have a fit if he tracks all that mess in the house, come on, I built on outside bath for just this sort of thing." We walk around to a nice looking bathhouse and he waves us in. "Everything you will need is in here, have fun." He laughs and jogs off.

Adrik

I am so glad Bunny was with them when those rogues attacked. I shutter to think what would have happened if not, those kids are like my own and I would have been devastated if they would have been hurt. I smile to myself when I think about the house I am building for all of us. It has six bedrooms because I want more children with Ella. Lynn has her own bedroom with an attached bathroom, as does Connor. I am custom building everything so that everyone has their own space and a large family area so we can all spend time together. I can't wait until it's done and I see their faces. I plan on letting the kids paint their rooms any way they want.

I am thinking about fighting Linda for custody of Carter. She doesn't care about him, only uses him for money. I bet they would love him. I take out my cell and call Linda, "Hey, I would like to see my son" She snorts, "If you want him, you have to pay me and you know it." I growl, "Fine, but I want him for a damn week." She laughs, "Of course, it will cost you $1,000 this time. Come get him when you have the money." She hangs up. Selfish bitch.

I call my lawyer, Bobby. "Hey, Adrik, what's up?" I sigh, "I need to get Carter away from Linda." He laughs, "About time."
