Ella

I wake up in the middle of the night, having contractions, they are about ten minutes apart, so there is no use in waking anyone. I quietly move downstairs so that I can walk without bothering Adrik. He needs to get sleep, the next couple of days are going to rough on him. After a couple of hours, they are getting more frequent and stronger, only about four minutes apart. I make breakfast for everyone and make sure that the hospital bag is packed. By this time, everyone is waking up and filtering into the kitchen.

Adrik looks at me, "Baby, you look tired, didn't you sleep?" I smiled, "I have been having contractions all night, so I have been up walking." His eyes grow wide, "Oh, we need to go!" I stop him before he freaks out, "No, we have time, they are still about four minutes apart and my water hasn't broken yet. Walking helps, trust me, this isn't my first rodeo, cowboy." He nods, still looking a bit panicked. "Eat some breakfast, you are going to need it." Lynn sulks down the stairs, followed by Bunny and Carter.

"Pancakes, mmmmm." She grumbles. I chuckle and make her and Carter a plate. Teddy is the last one up and to the table, filling his plate with food and scratching his head. "How was date night?" He asks and I am about to answer him when my water breaks. "Oh, Adrik, are you done eating?" He nods as he walks around to set his plate in the sink. Teddy grabs it, "I got it, Bro. I need some juice." He walks around the island and slips in the fluid, falling flat on his back.

"Dude, your wife sprung a leak." He groans and I look at Adrik, "It's time." Teddy is whining about needing a shower, Adrik is running around like a crazy person, but all three kids are sitting calmly at the table, eating and watching the train wreck. I sigh, "Will you two stuff it. Adrik, my bag is already by the door. Teddy, go shower. Kids, behave. I will call Grandma Judy on the way." The whole room freezes and Lynn nods, "Got it, Momma Bear, now go have my little sister." Adrik grabs my bag and I waddle behind him out the door. He jumps in the car and drives off, me still standing on the porch. I wait a moment, and he comes back. "Sorry, I was in a hurry." He says sheepishly.

Adrik

Three hours, she is in pain, sweaty, tired, and a little mean, but still with me. Doc says it will be any time now. "OK, Ella, with you next contraction, you need to push." She says and Ella nods. Then, she is screaming and pushing. The process repeats twice more before I hear our sweet little cub crying. They cut the cord and clean her up before bringing her back, "Here is your little girl, ten pounds, and seven ounces." Ella grins at the nurse and takes our little Lana. As soon as she in her arms, she quiets down. I look at the little baby, my little girl and my heart warms. She is perfect. She has a head full of blonde curls and deep blue eyes, the spitting image of Ella.

Ella looks up at me, "Here, hold our daughter." I am afraid at first, she's so little and I am so big. As soon as she is in my arms, she snuggles against me, big blue eyes staring up and me. I am lost. I love her so much and I know that she will fit in just like a missing puzzle piece. After a minute she starts to cry again. "She's hungry." Ella tells me and I hand her back so she can feed her. I look around for a bottle, but Ella starts to nurse her. She falls asleep cuddled against her mother, who also drifts off. I smile at the sight of my mate holding our newborn.

A couple hours later, Ella has had a shower and says she feels more human. The family comes to visit Ellas and Lana. Mom and Dad brought the kids up along with Teddy. Lynn holds her first, "Hello, baby sister. I am going to teach you so much." Teddy snorts, "Corrupting the babies, I knew it." Lynn kisses Lana's forehead and gently passes her to Connor before slapping Teddy in the back of the head. Connor rocks her and coos when she wraps her little hand around his finger. Soon, he passes her to Mom. Mom snuggles and talks to her, Lana simply stares at her. Dad peeks over Mom's shoulder and grins, "She looks like you, Ella. I am proud of both of you." Teddy is next to hold her. "You will be nice to Uncle Teddy, won't you?" He coos and she grabs his nose and pulls, hard. "Ow, ow, ow. I take that as a no." I pick up Carter and sit down with him on my lap, so he can hold Lana.

"She's just a baby, Daddy. I will protect her forever. Anybody hurts her and they will answer to me and I will tell Lynn and Bunny. Bunny will eat them." He tells me, very seriously. I bite back a laugh, "That's right, son." After a couple hours, everyone goes home and Ella passes out. I am holding Lana, who is sleeping and I can't believe how perfect my life as turned out.
